I had a 10 minute appointment with this doctor for a work injury that was required by the work comp insurance company and disregarding everything my doctors diagnosed she pronounced me magically healed and of course the insurance company believed her and cancelled all benefits. I wonder how much they pay you to do this doctor?

Dr. Maurer is an outstanding Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Doctor and human being. She is thorough and very knowledgeable about the human spine, back, and related chronic pain. Her wisdom is far beyond other doctors I visited: within 5-10 minutes of examination and listening to the patient, Dr. Maurer is able to identify and recommend an action plan to address to root cause of the problem, while also finding healthy ways to alleviate the pain. I highly recommend Dr. Maurer: EXCELLENT!

Very friendly, considerate,thoughtful. I was impressed with Dr. Maurer's depth of knowledge about the spine, its' supportive musculature, and the nerves associated with it. I was elated I'd found a doctor who's focus was on correcting the underlying issues, rather than treating symptoms.

This doctor does not answer patient's questions or does not know the answers. Puts in medical orders with out knowing what the patient has had done as short as six weeks ago. I felt she was just guessing on what was the right diagnosis/treatment.

Dr. Maurer is probably a typical physiatrist, they don't really want to treat your pain with medication. She is a friendly enough doctor with good bedside manner but when it comes to actually treating pain, it's not going to happen. I was given a medication that literally made me very ill, when I called her office I got a call back 5 days later stating that I should stop taking the meds. She refused to prescribe anything else and said I was on my own. It wasn't so much the lack of meds as it was the lack of care after I left her office. I would not recommend this physiatrist to anyone.
