Dana Harms's Online Review Report Card

I had my surgeries with Dr. Harms back in 2010 and early 2011 when trying to open a jar of mayonnaise was the last straw. I had a 1-month-old baby that needed me to take care of him. I had what felt like a constant current of electricity running through my hands--the best I can describe it is like having thousands of ants crawling under the skin of my palms. Not only was it distressing, but it was also painful. Finally, I sought help. When I was referred for a nerve conduction study, it was determined that my brain was sending the right signal, but my body wasn't responding. Dr. Harms told me he recommended the carpal tunnel release. Without much hope, I agreed. Two months later, I was in the OR. I cannot describe how strange it was to wake up to having one hand still tingly, and the other one normal. It was a life-changing surgery. Without Dr. Harms' expertise, I may still be trying to look for relief. Thanks to Dr. Harms, I've healed--and moved on. Thank you, Dr. Harms!

I feel so blessed to have Dr Harms as my Ortho Doctor..hes compassionate, sweet, nice sense of humor and takes time to explain the situation..you just know you are in good hands with him... My primary internist thinks highly of him also..

I would NEVER go to Dana Harms again. He performed shoulder surgery on me and didnt fully complete what he said and the MRI indicated needed to be done. Result, another surgery in 90 days by another Orthropedic. Would not see me or even contact me when i repeatly asked for him!!! I would give him a zero. Now I have large divits in my skin because they had to go through them again for the other surgery. DEFORMED!! Will not take responsibility!!!

Yes! Yes, I’d recommend Dr Harms and his staff to family and friends. He took the to get me well informed on the procedure and the healing process. All my questions and concerns were answered and if someone didn’t have a answer they would find someone who could further assist me.

Would go back to Dr Harms in a heartbeat. He knows what needs to be done when. He tries all options before doing surgery. He is VERY knowledgeable and tells you every detail. He has a wonderful bedside manner!

Dr. Harms replaced both of my knees. The result has been excellent. I would recommend his surgical skill care to all. He went above and beyond as now I am in great shape without any pain. THANKS YOU DR. HARMS

The procedures Dr. Harms was going to perform on me were not complete which resulted in shoulder surgery to be repeated 3 months later. Dr. Harms has yet to address my issues or why he did not do the procedure he explained he was going to do. I have reach out several times to speak with him and he won’t acknowledge me at all. I had to have a different orthopedic surgeon for my second surgery and Dr. Anderson did a great job and I am finally on my way to healing. Check with the board of physicians before you entrust any doctor with your health!

He spends time with you and explains your options. He always gives you options. He is friendly and makes you feel like you have always known each other. Very comforting environment.

I went to Dr. Harms for a second opinion and to try to delay knee replacement. Dr. Harms listened to my concerns and let me know the decision to have or not have knee replacement was totally up to me. He provided all the time I needed to get the answers to all of my questions. His suggestion to try a series of synvisc injections as an alternative, when I expressed a desire to delay knee replacement, has proven to be highly successful. I am walking without pain for the first time in ten years. My osteoarthritis appears to have subsided for now and the range of motion for the knee has increased substantially since the series 16 months ago. At the time, I was told to expect to to get relief for the pain for up to six months. I am feeling great - the inflammation reduction has been most impressive. This doctor is all straight talk - common sense - excellent doctor to patient communication skills; and a real asset to the profession. Both Dr. Harms and his assistant are rising stars in their respective fields. Highly recommend both.

Dr. Harms is absolutely fabulous!!! He takes pride in his work, has a great sense of humor and follows up with his patients 100%. Couldnt ask for a better surgeon!
