Mayo Clinic Health System's Online Review Report Card

My mother recently went to this hospital. Her blood pressure was in the 200s. She has a history of strokes and a head bleed. She did not know what the month was, and did not know what year it was. They allowed her to discharge herself against medical advice. My stepdad did not feel safe bringing her home, so they threaten to call the police and have my confused 75-year-old mother escorted off hospital property. She was then sent home and at 2 o’clock in the morning my mother fell and broke her ankle. She is currently in the ICU in Rochester. As a nurse, I am incredibly disappointed in the medical staff there. I will never have my mother go there again.

Brought my mom to the ER yesterday and back today by ambulance. There isn’t a physician on staff, no diagnosis offered. Only a prescription for pain. Condition has not changed. Going elsewhere to see a doctor and get a diagnosis. Staff were nice, just couldn’t help.

New patient to the clinic. Had a great experience with Dr Wheeler and his nurse/assistant who checked me in. Very personable, knowledgable , kind and thorough. Great experience…highly recommend!

i went to the emergency department to get tested for a UTI and possible kidney infection, and they tested my urine and said there was no sign of infection and sent me home. my symptoms kept getting worse, so i went to a different hospital to be reevaluated. they looked at my urine test results from THIS HOSPITAL and told me that there are obvious signs of infection and diagnosed me with both infections i asked about at Mayo Clinic Health System. will never be visiting again.

They sent a friend of mine home to die without basic IV fluids or oxygen. They stated he was clearly dehydrated yet gave him no fluids. His oxygen was at 60% and they didn’t give him anything. The facts speak for themselves- I don’t even have to mention the neglect and incompetence this speaks of. They had no regard for this man’s pain.

Very rude went in with sever dehydration and an inflamed tonsil also passing blood in my stool because I’m so dehydrated they refused to give me an iv which common sense that’s what any other emergency room would of done so I feel better but she told me to suck on ice and take aspirin 🤯🤯🤯 very dissatisfied

They need to not leave people on hold for 10 mins for a simple question!

This level of incompetence will get a patient killed. Mayo is gone from comically bad to truly incompetent. I called a month ago to have a prescription refilled at my pharmacy. They called, they waited, they called, they waited, they called, they waited... For a month. Then I called myself. Now mind you I have empty bottles and an old prescription at my pharmacy. Mayo told me not only do I not have a current prescription for the antibiotic they prescribed, I have never taken it. I don't exactly know how you make a mistake that large let alone then try to gaslight your own patient. And to top it off the woman I spoke with was incredibly rude. So in the end even though every doctor in the world stresses the absolute important of finishing your antibiotics. Mayo health systems not only stands in the way of that possibility. They will gaslight you for daring to tell them that you can prove they're wrong.

I called to make a appointment the lady over the phone said I can't be seen cause I don't have a primary with them even tho I have other doctor appointments with them. Last I knew I didn't need a primary doctor to be seen. Omc made a appointment for me with no problems at all. I did tell the lady I will be talking to my doctors at my other appointments she said they will agree with her but I been doing this for years since they can see all the charts together in the computer. So I was denied care and she said I was. Even tho I been seen at mayo clinic before in Cannon and Rochester tons of times. This is b.s

Worst hospital I've ever been to. They treat my mother horribly. She was left alone for hours when she couldn't walk and had to go to the bathroom. I had to call to tell the nurse to bring her. They refuse to do a biopsy on her when I was told she needed one. They really just don't seem to care and the staff is very rude, have belittled her.
