Laurie A. Townsend's Online Review Report Card

The past two times I had an appointment with her, she's always rushing, looking at her watch. Sadly, when I go to my yearly check up, she never does breast exams, she only orders them. Not a very nice doctor. Very careless doctor.

A disheartening experience. My daughter who's been struggling with mental health issues, as many young adults have this past year, had an appointment with this doctor believing that she may have strep throat. The Doctor had absolutely no bedside manner. The clinic gave her a mental health questionnaire in which she answered honestly that she had not been feeling well. The doctor looked at the computer and stated that my daughter had a higher than normal su1c1de score. My daughter explained that she just recently finished an intensive program for depression/anxiety, and waiting on an additional program. At that point this doctor raised her voice and said "Treatment for wanting to ki11 yourself?" and proceeded to press for details. I can not believe a "professional" would handle this subject with such abrupt and insensitive behavior. We are working so hard to make progress and it baffles me how unprofessional this Dr behaved in this delicate situation.

Rolled her eyes at me when I spoke. I complained of chest pain and never took out her stethoscope to listen to my chest. She said I came in for something else so she couldn’t listen to my chest. My idea of basic care is weight, BP and listening to my breathing and chest. She lacks common decency. Find a different provider.

Called her nurse Monday, Tuesday & Wed with severe sinus Infection symptoms ( something she’s treated me for before ) got a call Thursday telling me I needed to book an appointment but she’s full. Needed RX called in, wouldn’t do it. Though the ear, noise & throat Dr she sent me to gave instructions on treating immediately upon symptoms. With the covd pandemic in this country my Husband and Granddaughter’s doctor called in RX rather than send them sick to the clinic. Not much compassion from a doctor I had high hopes for… Done !

I love Laurie, she actually cares and listens to my concerns. She is open to my suggestions and willing to try other non typical routes. She makes the time and has a over all great personality. I think any bad reviews people are being quick to judge. Doctors do not have an easy job right now!

Horrible, horrible doctor. I brought my husband in for some anxiety/mental health issues. They would not let me go back to the room with him and talk to the doctor due to Covid procedures (even though we are both vaccinated). He had a panic attack in the waiting room and we had to leave. Do not go to this doctor for help. We are finding a new clinic.

I never got a chance to even have my appt with her. She came in the room and was immediately rude and gaslighted me for having my partner in the room when 3 staff members including the appt. line said it was ok. She rudely asked what our mental capacities were and accused me of having dementia because I needed my girlfriends help remembering stuff and to help me physically because I was in so much pain. I have never in my life have been so disgusted in a doctor and both of us just got up and left. I had to suffer in severe pain two more days because this woman was a complete and total insult to humanity. Absolutely NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER BETWEEN STAFF. Three staff members were not even wearing masks in the clinic and both of us were and we got treated very poorly by Laurie Townsend. This doctor is not professional and has no business working with people.

I had the unfortunate experience of going to her twice by making an on call appointment each time. I forgot her name or I would not have gone back to her. She is very unprofessional and rude. She will completely disregard anything you say. She is there for a paycheck, nothing else.

Dr. Townsend asked a lot of great questions and put together a plan of action to address some of my health issues/concerns. I feel confident in her and her abilities and have since scheduled follow-ups with her.
