Jeffrey Chambers's Online Review Report Card

I visit Dr. Chambers once a year for monitoring of my eyes for glaucoma. Dr. Chambers is extremely skilled and knowledgable. There is a history of glaucoma with my siblings. I have a thin cornea and my pressure is a bit on the high side so an optometrist not able to determine whether I have glaucoma or not. This requires a specialist. Due to covid I have missed one year and this years appointments unfortunately coincided with my move to Calgary but the appointments were changed and I was relieved that I could see Dr. Chambers prior to my move. I then received a call back from the staff of Dr. Chambers to say that the appointments would be cancelled because I am moving. I would need to find an opthomologist in Calgary. This will take a long time. It would have been a relief to have my appointments with Dr. Chambers. I would then know if it is critical (aka I have glaucoma) to go to an emergency clinic in Calgary as soon as I move or whether I can follow the process to find a specialist in Calgary which will take some time I do thank Dr. Chambers though for his years of professional expertise. I was fortunately to have him as my opthomologist.

Doctor Chambers and staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly. Dr Chambers did cataract surgery on both eyes. 6 months apart. A great success, vision is now 20/20. Very happy with the procedure. The staff at KGH in Vision Care weee friendly. Knowledgeable. Helpful. A great experience.

My experience with Dr. Chambers was similar to that with chiropractors - primarily interested in selling, less so with performance. He made a significant error in my eye surgery (installed the wrong lens), then offered to correct it through more expensive surgery. At no time did he acknowledge his error nor did he seem concerned. A pleasant guy, but I'm looking elsewhere.

Dr. Chambers performed cataract surgery on both eyes approximately a year apart. Both experiences were very positive. Due to his knowledge and recommendations I seldom need to use glasses (readers) and now have great vision during the day and at night.

I had surgery for both my eyes to get rid of young persons cataracts. I had questions before and after the surgery and reached out to the office. The receptionist knew exactly what I was trying to ask and answered it in a professional manor. I was concerned about the surgery and most of the staff were very understanding. (I am very young to have cataracts however I soon found it was caused by medication.) Although there was a common problem after surgery I'm getting that fixed and should have 100% vision. The surgery is not as bad as some make it sound. Everyone is different. No question is stupid or silly.

We just had the most amazing appointment with Dr. Chambers. He and his staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful. They took the time my Mom needed to move throughout the office she moves quite slow due to mobility problems. We would definitely recommend Dr. Chambers to any of our friend.

Dr Chambers completed cataract surgery on my left eye on September 30, 2020. I am extremely please with the outcome and now have clearer vision than I have had for several years. I had a follow up visit 1 day after the surgery and another follow up visit 5 days after the surgery. The eye drops (lubricants, antibiotic, and anti-inflamatory) were very helpful . Dr Chambers front office staff is very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable and were very helpful. My special THANKS to Suzanna, Debora, and all the others who made my office visits very easy. My special THANKS to Dr Chambers and his professional surgical team of Drs and assistants . I highly recommend Dr Chambers and his team to anyone who is considering cataract surgery and am so glad he was my surgeon. 5 Thumbs up

Dr. Chambers performed cataract surgery on both my eyes with excellent results, 20/20 vision! He was very professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him to anyone needing cataract surgery.

Worst experience I've ever had a few years back. I have a history of iritis which is extremely painful and was referred to him. He sent me away in excruciating pain and said if my eye continues to itch to come back in. I never once said I had an itchy eye. I tried to get back in but the gate keeper reception wouldn't pass along any message or only offered me an appointment for 2 weeks out. You can permanently loose your vision with iritis and it is severely painful. I finally went to go to my GP who got me in the same day to another Opthamologist. He was considering injections in my eye the iritis was so bad and I lost part of the pigment in my iris because of it. I was lucky i didn't lose my sight and was told good thing i was taking an anti inflammatory on my own accord for the pain and the inflammation or it would have otherwise been much worse. Normal immediate treatment for iritis is to hit it hard asap with hourly steroid drops to reduce the inflammation. To give you an idea of the importance of immediate treatment another opthamologist on call met us at his clinic at 7pm to treat my eye I never reported dr chambers but i wish i would have as i'd never want anyone to experience such pain and be put off by these arrogant people.
