nice doctor and very caring - answers questions and very professional

I went for laser hair removal on my upper lip and now have permanent scarring all over my chin. I’ve been seeing a new dermatologist for several years but the redness from skin trauma is persistent.

I went to Kevin Smith with my ongoing Rosacea problem. Once he realized that I was not interested in laser surger, he visibly lost interest and prescribed Lobrox, which doesn't even seem to be a rosacea treatment. My pharmasist was appalled. Going to be doing some research myself, since he was as helpful as t.o.a.b.

Well, my son had excessive sweating problems when he was a teen. My insurance covered a great amount of it. So Dr. SMITH ORDERS BOTOX, I go down stairs to pharmacy, it was over a thousand dollars. They give me 4 viles of botox....now I am thinking 4 viles for a 14cyear old , well he is the doctor. Anyways he injects my son and uses 1 vile , one vile and said we were good for 6 months...now what happened to the other 3. I figured it out fast , its paid for and then he charges other patients that don't have coverage for it. Scammer and he makes big bucks....that's a thief.

I will never see this doctor. Awful in 100 different ways.

Been a patient for years.. however the last few visits left me wondering what h was paying for!?? Mostly botox and occasional fillers. Most recent botox was completely useless!!??? I guess as he's retiring in August, figured he salve himself a few bucks! Pretty shady.. I won't be using the doctor he has recommended to his patients. Integrity is everything!

Went to see dr smith for a mole removal.. I’ve had mole removed before from a dermatologist in St. Catharines and they both used different techniques. First time I had a mole shaved off with cauterizing to stop the bleeding. Left with a slightly indented scar the exact size and shape of the mole. Dr smith used something called curettage to scrap the mole off and it’s been one week and I’m left with a HUGE SCAR four or five times the size of the mole. From the instrument being dragged across the skin around the mole. Doesn’t seem to be healing nice at all and I’m very upset with the results and feel the mole would have looked better then this in slightly scar. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Immediately after the mole was removed he told me to touch the area and feel that it’s gone. Instead I had to ask for the mirror as I did not feel comfortable touching a fresh wound with my unwashed hands. Then he abrutbly left the room without any home care instructions or advice. I’m so glad I chose to only remove the one mole and not the other on my on face.

Plenty of experience and knowledge, pleasant and patient, no red tape like some other derma docs

Have been to Dr Smith four times. After first Botox injection there was very little difference notice so he suggested that a type of filler would help. So basically my first investment was for nothing. Paid for filler and it did show improvement. But that was after paying him twice. Went back for another Botox injection a while later for my forehead which again didn’t work. I questioned this and he gave me a story about it taking several sets of injections to make it beneficial. He never told me that from the onset. I wasn’t going to fall into his trap and pay for more treatments when the first one didn’t work. Will not go back to see him anymore
