List of Lauren Phillips's Reviews
Great experience with Dr Phillips. She was patient and kind. Really took her time and answered all my question!
Dr. Phillips delivered my first baby. She was great, always taking time to reassure me and answer all my many questions! My insurance changed and I had to see another OBgyn for my second child - a disappointing experience after being with Dr. Phillips. Now we are pregnant again and back with Dr. Phillips. She is the best!
I have never had a doctor like Dr. Lauren Phillips. I had a horrible experience with this doctor. I would not recommend her to anyone. She misunderstood everything I was trying to explain to her about my health and even denied me healthcare. While I was in her exam room, she told me she was having a bad few days. I felt as though she has a lack of experience and professionalism.
The staff here comes off as rude and does not seem to care about what the patients concerns are. On initial visit, the OBGYN was quick to answer our questions though without clarity and with total disregard to elaborate even after being asked to. We myself and my wife) felt the visit was very impersonal and we were merely rushed through like "cattle". Some of the nursing staff members are rude. To put it simply, they come off as having a dislike for men/fathers. When leaving the nurse told my wife, "next time you come, come alone. Do not bring him (husband). When we questioned why we were told because of covid. While this is understandable, at least say that so the patient knows why rather than leaving us wondering. Clearly we will be finding a new OBGYN
Unfortunately I was ripped off. I am a cash pay patient and I made an appointment to have a vaginal ultrasound. The nurse asked me Information about my cycle and I made her aware that my period was about to begin. When I came to the appointment the doctor told me that since my cycle was about to begin and my uterine lining is thick, she couldn't see much on the ultrasound and that it's best to do an ultrasound after my period was finished. When I later called to make the 2nd appointment I asked them to give me a discount on the ultrasound since someone should have informed me the ultrasound should be done AFTER my period. They only agreed to waive the cost of the office visit and not the ultrasound... of course the office visit doesn't cost nearly as much as the ultrasound does. Basically, they ripped me off. I wasn't trying to rip off the doctor, I was just trying to be reasonable. Maybe they are used to ripping off insurance companies like this… but I am not an insurance company. I will never go back since these people are so disingenuous.
Love Dr. Phillips and her office. She has taken care of me through 2 pregnancies and deliveries. I always feel comfortable with her and she listens to all my concerns. She was there at both of my deliveries- even came in on a holiday for one of them. Could not ask for another experience.
I have never had a doctor like Lauren Phillips and I pray I never do again. It was my first pregnancy and through my insurance I randomly selected her. She rushed through every appointment I made with her. After she was finished talking, she never asked me if I had any questions AND never gave me a chance to ask the questions I had. She just zipped out the door and all the questions I had written on a small piece of paper in my pocket would go unanswered. She could have cared less about me and my well being and it showed through her actions. She never explained anything to me and she never ever made me feel comfortable about anything. Being an ob/gyn is about more than just collecting your salary, you have to make your patients feel at ease or comfortable. It's not always supposed to be a rushed in and out situation. It seemed to me that she really doesn't like dealing with people and if that is the case then, she is seriously in the wrong field. In the last appointment I went to, I left a hysterical wreck because she failed at explaining something to me. That's when I had enough and I switched ob/gyns. Some words of advice for Dr. Phillips: just smile sometimes, just asking a simple how are you would be nice. You lack empathy and until you learn how to actually care about your patients, you will always be a terrible doctor.
I decided to become one of Dr. Phillip's patients after reading a few mixed reviews and it was the worse mistake. On my initial consultation the nurse did not listen to my concerns thus wrote on my medical chart a wrong diagnosis and never called in my prenatal vitamins after several reminders. When diagnostic exams or blood tests are ordered I am not informed nor is my permission sought. Thus, I find out when I receive an explanation of benefits or a bill from the laboratory. The patient portal is never updated with results and the doctor has a paternalistic approach to patient care making decisions for the patient. As a registered nurse myself I prefer to make my own informed decisions. I can only imagine if I stay with this practice what clinical decisions she will make when I am in labor at the hospital.
Terrible experience staff was very unprofessional and rude. The Dr made me feel rushed and uncomfortable.Refused to see me after being released from hospital. I wouldn't recommend this Dr.
Horrible experience. The staff was a little rude and extremely unprofessional laughing and making jokes to one another while about me while I was sitting in the lobby . The dr did not address my concern at all. I felt rushed.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
