List of Max Miranda's Reviews
Had a scope and colonoscopy and couldn’t of went better.
Dr. Miranda was thorough in answering my questions, and confirming that I understood the responses. His demeanor was positive, friendly, and professional. The post operative visit clearly explained his finding and procedure. I left with an all around good feeling and confidence in any needed return. I feel fortunate to be on the receiving end of his years of training and practice.
I would never recommend Dr. Miranda anyone. I have seen him 4 times in the office. My wait time has been from 30 minutes to 2 1/2 hours. At the beginning of my latest endoscopy he asks if I have an appointment to follow up in the office to get the results of today’s procedure. He says he will do a 3 month follow up appointment to go over the endoscopy results (really 3 months?) I had an abdominal MRI 2 weeks before the endoscopy. MRI said the Dr would have the results in 48 hours. 2 weeks later I had not been contacted. At my endoscopy appointment I asked Dr Miranda for the results. He said he would go read the MRI right now - an hour later when I get to the procedure room I asked again about the MRI. He said he would get me the results before I left. Thankfully, the RN handed him a printed copy. Right before anesthesia I was asked if a student could watch. I had been in procedure room at least 10 minutes. Afterwards I find out student was his 16 year old son.
Dr. Miranda has seen my wife on several occasions and is alway kind, patient, and makes you feel at ease. He is very knowledgable and does a great job. No complaints. Would highly recommend!
initial meeting with Dr. Miranda was pleasant. He told me he was a "liver specialist," I later researched and found that not to be true. Diagnosed at the Mayo Clinic with NASH by an actual Hepatologist/Professor of Medicine after a battery of tests. Dr. Miranda snapped at me and asked sharply who diagnosed me with NASH as my liver disease was more often found in alcoholics. This stigma was shocking to me, as I have a congenital heart disorder that has kept me from anything with alcohol in it. Following my routine f/u EGD procedure and as I was waking out of anesthesia, Miranda was once again with a sharp tone, and suggested a procedure that my specialists at the Mayo Clinic uses only as a last resort. I tried to explain this to him, he briskly shut me up and said "do you want to bleed to death?" Even though my previous bleeding episodes were related to two growths in my small intestine and not my esophagus. I will be seeing the Mayo Clinic specialists thanks to help from donations of family and former classmates. I highly suggest to see another Dr. as this caused me and my family unnecessary distress and anxiety.
Dr. Miranda was initially pleasant. He told me he was a "liver specialist," which was not true. He was abrupt when speaking to me about my condition, asking who diagnosed me with NASH (Which was done by a hepatologist/Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic). He was rude, and abrupt with me several times, not allowing me to ask questions or explain myself as I was coming out of anesthesia. I would never see him again due to poor bedside manner to say the least.
Dr. Miranda is a very caring professional. He shows interest in me, as a patient, He is very thorough and discusses things so that you, as a patient, can understand. He takes the time to explain and listen. His caring nature shows thru to the patient.
He cares and is passionate about his work.
Dr Miranda cares.
Nice doc but under-treated my crohn's. His partner saw me in the hospital and I switched over. Feel much better now.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
