I’ve seen Coetzee a few times now with an ankle injury and couldn’t be happier with the procedure and results. Coetzee’s team and all of TCO are very helpful and professional. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great ankle doctor! Thanks to everyone at TCO!
I was referred to Dr. Coetzee by another orthopedic physician in my home town who had performed a total ankle protheses which had to be removed due to staph infection complications. I traveled to the cities and Dr. Coetzee operated 4 years ago and replaced the antibiotic spacer with a new protheses which was very successful. I did however, have an issue with a tethered tendon last year which caused my big toe to not sit on the floor, causing me issues with my walking on hard surfaces barefoot. The tendon had become stuck due to the extensive surgeries trying to alleviate the staph infection of the previous prostheses. the surgeries had caused a lot of scar tissue in my ankle. I made an appointment with Dr. Coetzee a year in advance to see if there was any surgical solution to my stuck tendon.. He was able to see me finally after the Covid initial scare in February 2022. Dr. Coetzee was able to perform a simple surgery right in the exam room with just local anesthetics. My relief was immediate as I watched my big toe fall into place with the others! My experience with TCO and particularly Dr. Coetzee and assistant Lawrence has been very positive. I feel blessed to have had the experience with the surgeon who has helped multi-million dollar athletes, in my opinion...the best.
I have complete confidence in Dr. Coetzee. He was recommended to me after another Orthopedic surgeon kept referring me to physical therapy until I finally asked for an MRI after 6 months. He set me up for an MRI only to find my tendon was ruptured. I left and contacted Dr Coetzee who recommended surgery right away. Since then, I've had a few other issues and he acted quickly with treatment plans but when I didn't respond after a month he recommended an MRI and proceeded accordingly. I think he's an excellent doctor.
I was hospitalized due to severe covid symptoms and while I was in the hospital, I fainted, collapsed to the ground, and broke my ankle in three places. The hospital had referred me to an Orthopedic Surgeon and after reading the Surgeon's reviews, I started asking friends in the medical field for recommendations. Everyone said that Dr. Coetzee was the Best in the field but was booked out until Jan 2023. I decided to call anyways to see if there was any chance of seeing him. The scheduling guy I spoke to said he was currently booked until Jan 2023 but contacted Dr. Coetzee's Care Team anyways to see if they could help. They said they would help me, and an appointment was scheduled for the following day. I was very impressed by the level of professionalism of Dr. Coetzee and all the staff during the appointment. Surgery was scheduled to be performed in four days.I am so thankful for the scheduling guy going above and beyond by contacting Dr. Coetzee's care team anyways and for Dr. Coetzee saying he would help me. I am very relieved knowing I will be in the hands of the Best Orthopedic Surgeon in the Field!
Dr Coetzee was super kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. I would always highly recommend him.
Everyone was so kind! Dr Coetzee was awesome! Explained procedures even took off my cast! He did a great job on my ankle and restored blood flow with very little pain
The clinic was very efficient getting me in to see Dr Coetzee. His coordinator Lisa Long was extremely helpful in scheduling my appointment. Dr Coetzee's Physician Assistant Larry, evaluated me first and was very patient, kind, and had great bedside manner. When Dr Coetzee came in to evaluate and diagnose me, he was so friendly and warm and made me feel at ease. His exam was thorough and gentle and he came to a diagnosis for my foot pain fairly quickly. I was very nervous about getting a steroid injection in my foot, but he helped calm my nerves and before I knew it, it was done. He explained things about the procedure and what to expect in the coming days very well. I would highly recommend Dr Coetzee and his team at Twin Cities Orthopedics.
Just completed bone fusion (ankle to foot) on my second foot in 4 years. Too much running/biking/sports :( Dr Coetzee is the very BEST! Have sent other friends and family members to him. If he can't fix it no one can!
For three years I searched for a Dr. to help fix my botched up bunion surgery. I was turned away from major hospital orthopedic doctors. Finally I heard, from a friend, about Dr. Coetzee. Dr. Coetzee and his complete staff are what I call,“marshmallows”!! They are soft spoken and so very sweet! The first thing I was told after sharing my story was…”don’t worry we got ya”! My surgery was a success and I will be eternally grateful to TCO!!Jane McKernan 😊
On time, Completed all diagnosis on site, mapped out & scheduled next steps in less than an hour
