I recently had carpal tunnel surgery and it was a very positive experience. The surgery was done in the clinic and I had minimal discomfort. I drove myself to there and back home. I only needed to take 1/2 day off work. I cant say enough positive things about the care I received from Dr. Gesensway and his team. Thank you!

The entire process at Twin Cities Orthopedics went smoothly and timely - that was refreshing. Dr Gesensway was very pleasant and described everything for me. I felt he spent the right amount of time to make sure hisdiagnosis was understood. Just a very nice experience.

I saw him after I felt a pop in my elbow throwing, that I was almost certain was my UCL. He didn’t seem to take me seriously, laughing when I told him what school I play at (a small D2), and saying things like “it’s not like you’re playing for the Yankees”. After an MRI he told I had partially torn my UCL (not specifically saying how much I had partially torn it) and recommended rest and rehab, giving me no surgical option. It wasn’t til about a couple months later I finally saw my MRI, to see it was a “high grade partial tear” with “a few slender fibers intact”. If I had known this I would have opted for surgery right away, but it seemed like Dr. Gesensway didn’t think my career matters enough for surgery. But anyway after 10 weeks of PT, and 2 weeks into my throwing program I started feeling elbow pain again, and now I am going to get surgery 4 months later after wasting my time with rehab for an injury that can’t heal itself. I recommend if you want your care to be taken seriously, that you steer away from Dr. Gesensway.

Wonderful knowledgeable doctor. Radiology staff was great as well. Only criticism is it would better if he could send me with some documents of his diagnosis so I could review at home. The appt goes fast!

Stay away from this man. He will do everything he can to push you through your appointment and be as arrogant as possible while doing it. Run if he is your doc

I went in for a surgery consult came out in the worst pain ever. No solution was made nor was surgery scheduled. Very rushed appointment talked more about my tattoos then what could be done for my wrists.
