I have been dealing with lower back issues and sciatica pain for over a decade. It was time to take action. I had used Summit Ortho previously for injections in my neck 8 years ago (and still ok), so I met with Dr. Strothman after I had my MRI done. He explained the issues and how to fix them surgically. I think it helped that I was very well versed on my condition, so we immediately struck up a great doctor/patient relationship. Surgery was in February 2022 and I am doing great!! The pain is gone. I am walking every day pain free for the first time in over 10 years!! I hade some incision issues which required me to return to be seen 3 times. Each time, Dr. Strothman has been so supportive and positive. I don't understand the negative reviews. You have to be in the right mindset when you pursue this major surgery. Dr. Strothman was spot on with everything he told me. His entire team is responsive and very helpful. They have all been terrific!

My original back & neck surgeon at Summit moved out of state - he was fantastic. He referred me to Strothman for follow-up. Strothman comes off very arrogant, patronizing and unprepared. If you see him be prepared for a 30-90 minute wait time.

I am so glad I had him for my surgeon. David and his crew are very professional and take care of your every need. I was a little leery to have my back surgery and was putting it off for three years just surviving on injections from his staff. I finally went ahead with my surgery of an L4 L5 Fusion and I was walking that same day. I am now 7 weeks out of surgery and have to watch myself as what I am doing, because I am completely pain-free and forget that I just had surgery. If I knew I would be feeling this good I would have had the surgery long ago. Like I said before he is the best. Thank you for the awesome job on my back.

I was in an automobile accident over 18 months ago and have been seeking treatment since to manage the pain. I've had several steroid shots, been through chiropractic treatment, acupuncture, physical therapy, gone to a pain clinic, etc.. I have done everything my doctor have suggest with the exception of taking narcotics. It was suggested that I research the options of surgery (my chiropractor and Dr. both have stated that surgery may be needed if the future but they would not suggest doing it at my current age) Dr Strothman was recommended by Summit Orthopedics for a consultation. Dr. Strothman was less then helpful when I went in for a surgical consultation. I was upfront and told him that my attorney had suggested I get an opinion from a surgeon to see if surgey would be needed as suggested be Summit Orthopedic and my chiropractor. We was rude, cold and uncooperative, he offered no other advise or accessment other then he didn't think I was a candidate at this time for surgery and he didn't think that a procedure would be beneficial to me at this time. He did go on to state that he was not a fortune teller and could not tell me what I might need in the future. It's not the answer from Dr. Strothman that was bothersome, it was his approach and attitude toward me. He stated that an attorney asking a client to get a consultation is not normal practice and he didn't understand why I was there. When I stated that I was offended that he was painting my attorney out to be an ambulance chaser and me to be in it for the money he stated, well this is highly irregular, no apologies or restating what he might mean. Dr. Strothman ended the appointment my dictating his notes about the appointment into his phone while I was sitting there in very technical terms. After he was finished he asked if I had any questions on his dictation. I've never experience this before in any appointment. I would never recommend Dr. Strothman to friends or family and will not be seeing him again in the future.

He is very kind and explains everything well. I have to have surgery and I have a high level of trust in Dr. Strothman.

I have had 2 Fusions done by Dr Strothman and his Team of Specialist. From the the first appt I had with the Dr. And his Assitant Grayson Bloomberg. They were caring and interested in what symptoms I was having. Keep in mind I had gone from Doctors to Pain Clinics that just wanted to do injections. Dr Strothman took his time did X rays, MRI and found the source of my issue explained the procedure and let me make the choice based on facts. Post Surgery the assistant Kristy Gardner returned my emails and phone calls and was always caring and sincere. My second procedure there office had Joined with Summit and my procedure was preformed at there Surgery center and care suits. The experience was incredible. This care team deserves way more than 5 Stars!!! I would never ever go any where else then to the Dr. Strothman Team!!!!

Fifteen years ago I had a multilevel spinal fusion. One of the levels did not fuse. Over that time my pain got progressively worse. I was extreamly hesitant to have any corretive surgery because of the 6 month excruciating recovery. The loose cage inserted between the unfused vertibrae eventually caused enough pain that corrective surgery became necessary. Dr. Strothman and his team did an outstanding job. The surgery took several hours and was fairly complicated. Within a week afterwords I was walking up to a 1/2 mile on the treadmill and was up to 2 miles after 2 weeks. It's been 3 months since surgery and I'm 90% back to normal and feeling very good. Best decision I could have made. Hope this helps those who are "on the fence".

I had back pain for years and thought there was no hope until I saw Dr. Strothman. I had surgery by Dr. Strothman and have never felt better!! I never thought I would be able to do the things I am able to do now without pain.

I hade a fusion with Dr. Strothmen.. He told me he was going to preform a double fusion. He only did one and did not line my spine back up. Since this horrible experience my back continues to get worse and left with ten times the pain than when I first saw him. It's been 6 years. I believe if he would have done what he said the operation would have been a success. Many other negative things went on during our time together. Please review this Doctor pass before you make any future decisions.
