Lance Silverman's Online Review Report Card

I only waited about 5 minutes past my appointment, and saw him twice. The first time was for consultation and diagnoses, and the second time was going over my tests, Xrays, and MRI with me. Even though I didn't know what exactly I was looking at, he pointed out the damaged area and we discussed what would be my options. Staff was helpful, office clean, and my overall visits were positive.

Dr. Silverman quickly identified and resolved an issue my daughter had been managing for nearly four years. He took time to listen to what she has been experiencing over this period of time, quickly assessed her, and was able to identify and clearly display to us what the problem was. My daughter has since had surgery and due to Dr. Silverman’s continued guidance and encouragement, she is feeling confident again in her ability to return to her sports and activities without pain. We are grateful for his knowledge, care and ability to correct the issue! In addition, his assistant and office staff were very friendly and open to answering the multitude of questions we had. I would highly recommend Silverman Ankle & Foot to all my friends and relatives!

Do your research on him. Read the reviews. He spends little time with you at visits. He doesn't listen to what you have to say. He's cocky and he only sees what he wants to see. He didn't even look at my MRI until after surgery when I still had pain. At that appt and after finally looking at my MRI, he spun around in his chair and said, "I was wrong, but it's OK I can be wrong, I can be wrong." His nurse/wife is cold. Some of his office ladies are rude. He doesn't take the time to explain things so you understand. He talks to you like you're a doctor. I went in for foot pain and I'm not any better off plus came out with a tight calf muscle. He supposedly fixed my loose ankle, but that wasn't my pain or issue. I suggest taking your time researching him first.

He performed multiple procedures at one time on my foot that had sustained major soft tissue damage when it took the brunt of a sledgehammer full on, FINALLY re-correcting the bones' alignment in my foot, which had separated into broad bunions on either side of my foot during the year and a half that it took the soft tissue to heal. Other surgeons (Summit Orthopedic) told me there was nothing they could do for me except eventually offer cortisone shots when the pain became unbearable. He even was able to fix the hammertoe which had formed as the bones separated and the tendon to that toe got pulled too tightly to work properly. I had my surgery over a month ago and have been healing as expected, thanks to his recommended vitamin supplements which I began about 10 days before surgery, to promote optimum results. I am not usually a vitamin taker, but he seemed so very confident in his regimen, and even prescribed a certain amount of protein per day, depending on weight, during the healing process. "Bones only take 5 or 6 weeks to heal.", He said. You can do it for that long to help get a great result. He was RIGHT

I would never recommend Dr. Silverman. He was always rushed and unorganized. He came in to surgery for me, running late and not remembering our discussions. His surgeries left my toes maimed and my big toe full of arthritis . The big toe will now never be pain-free. This review does not include all my complaints. He was awesome! Gave me options for a bad ankle that had been giving me problems for the last 14 years due a different surgeon's incompetence. He took precautions and preformed certain tests prior to doing an ankle fusion with complications. He strives for the best outcomes.

In Feb 2022, Dr Silverman stated I needed 'Emergency' surgery on multiple metatarsal bones & a ligament for my broken right foot. I had two other opinions from 2 other surgeons who stated that I should just wear a boot & let things heal. I ended up opting for the more conservative approach of wearing a boot for a couple months. I Thank God I chose to NOT have surgery. My foot has healed just fine from letting nature do its thing. I can't imagine that having my foot/toes full of plates & screws & incisions by Dr. Silverman could have left me feeling this good. I highly recommend folks to get 2nd & 3rd opinions before signing up for such an invasive surgery like I almost did.

Dr Silverman has worked on my right foot over the last 4 years. Started with fixing my flat foot and tendon reconstruction. Was very scared being never had major surgery but Dr Silverman listened and put me at ease. Healed pretty well but had to go back to see Dr Silverman again about a year ago. Turns out some of the screws rubbed and tore the tendon again. He fixed me up again and I have never felt better. Can walk all over the woods, city and places I go with no pain. Haven’t had to ice or wrap the ankle in over a year. He saved my foot and my life

In early 2017 my primary physician referred me to up-and-coming foot surgeon, Lance Silverman, to address my bilateral bunions and general foot pain. I met with Dr Silverman and he was confident that he had the solution to my problem and I was taken in by his confidence. On the day of surgery, 1/13/17, to correct my right foot bunion, he was over three hours late and I wasn’t released from the surgery center until 8:30 pm. 5 months later, post symptoms and x-rays, he acknowledged that he had WAY over corrected the bunion revision and a second surgery was required in July 2017 to attempt to revise the outcome…. But there’s more: 3 weeks after the initial bunion surgery, while I was still non-weight bearing, my husband was diagnosed with brain cancer while the corrective surgery for my left foot bunion was still in the works. I was stupid and I believed that Dr Silverman understood the tense situation for my husband’s health and my role as his care-giver and would out-perform, but once again, he was late for surgery, reprimanded the pre-op staff (in front of me) for not having me already sedated, and then proceeded to tell me that he intended to correct a hammertoe situation that would disable my ability to curl my toes. I told him that I absolutely did not want him to do that, he told me that I would thank him for it later. As it turns out, he mutilated me, and I have now had to have 2 more surgeries attempting to mitigate the mutilation. DO NOT EVER LET THIS MAN PERFORM SURGERY ON YOU!!! The surgeons at TCO have told me that they perform 4-5 surgeries PER WEEK on Lance Silverman’s botched jobs, but it’s nearly impossible to get a quack surgeon ousted.
