Leah Streitman is hands down the best provider I have ever seen. I came to her in the thick of postpartum depression and immediately felt seen, supported, and never judged. She is incredibly empathetic, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to.<br><br>Leah involved me in every decision, clearly explained medication options, and followed up closely to make sure the dosage was right and effective. She also discussed lifestyle changes to support my mental health in addition to medication. I never felt rushed or overlooked.<br><br>Thanks to her care, I have never felt better. After years of anxiety, I finally feel capable of managing it, have a clear plan, and know I will be okay. I am deeply grateful and cannot recommend her highly enough.

She listens, she cares and she provides clear guidance on medication and takes the time to ensure that I am doing well. She also always lets me know that she is available whenever I need it. Leah Streitman is by far one of the best providers you could ever work with. Having spent over 10 years in this space, she is thoughtful, caring, intentional and so experienced! She isn't just prescribing you medication - she listens, figures out what is most important to you and your health, and then creates an action plan. She doesn't just prescribe a bunch of different meds to put a bandaid on the issue - she helps identify the true issue. She helps discuss diet, sleep, exercise, alcohol intake, etc. to see if there are other triggers to your symptoms. I have recommended her to several friends, who also all rave about her! If you are looking for a provider who will be in your corner, look no further - you have found her!!!

I am a former client of BHSI and saw multiple providers over the years and had mixed experiences. I wanted to make a review regarding Leah Streitman, PA-C who I find unqualified to be prescribing medication. I met with her multiple times regarding a medication that is often used to treat symptoms of another syndrome/disorder that is not a mental health diagnosis though needs a mental health medication provider to prescribe. I wanted it off this medication after being on it for a period of time because I did not like effects I was feeling. The medication could not be abruptly stopped since it needed to be taper down to prevent side effects from withdrawals. I discussed stopping the medication on multiple visits with Leah and she would not prescribe the<br>the smaller doses of the medication for me to taper down, thus prevent preventing me discounting the medication. Every time I brought it up to her, she would say that she thought I was doing fine and we would discuss it next time. This resulted in me, opening up the pill capsules and counting the little beads of medicine to try to taper down the medication dose myself because the side effects of abruptly stopped were awful. Her behavior was extremely disrespectful. For her to have an authoritative attitude towards me, another adult, who is a person receiving care from her as a prescriber and for her to refuse to allow me to decide what medications I am willing to take unethical. The conversations were dismissive and gaslighting and she was extremely unpleasant and had terrible bedside manners. I ended up ending services with her then reported her to the overseeing doctor of her clinic just to get the medication’s I needed to be tapered off the medication. Obviously, she is still at the clinic, so nothing has been done, and after reading the reviews on here, it’s sad to see that her behavior has continued. It was a terrible experience for my own mental health and affected my trust in medical providers.

Terrible start. Fill out paper work. nobody has any information. I had to repeat everything. Made an appt, the golden valley person put me on hold, never came back. left a message. didn't get a call back. Eventually got a call back after going through my employer.<br>If you are reaching out for help for someone, that is a huge effort. they need to make this seemless, not make people fight for it more. During the appt, Kelly Showalter has been very helpful

I highly recommend Leah Streitman. She is absolutely carrying and listens and encourages me. She has been so helpful and helpful to me.

I would NOT recommend Leah Streitman for medication management.<br><br>*All this information is from personal experiences between myself, my fiance, and Leah Streitman*<br><br>My fiancé saw her for about 6 months last year and she was not helpful, very abrasive, did not listen to my partners concerns, and was overall harmful to her mental health. My partner was on short term disability for her mental health and Leah Streitman was very difficult to work with throughout the process. The final straw came when she told my partner exactly which medications of hers would be lethal together if used to overdose, which my fiancé ended up using that information to overdose. I brought this up with Leah at my partners next appointment because it greatly concerns me that she’s giving information like this to suicidal people. She was extremely dismissive and said that’s just standard care and when pressed and told that neither my partner or I have ever been told information like that by any providers she said that it’s her standard that she holds herself to to tell suicidal patients who want to overdose which combination of medications would be most lethal. Both my partner and I tried to explain why that’s not okay and she told us she was sorry we felt that way and told my partner that she wouldn’t see her anymore. I wanted to make people aware of this because the hospital staff said we were very lucky to have made it to the ER so fast because my partner would have died if not and I don't want anyone else to experience this.

Out of many other unethical actions, medical director Hager lied about my testimony regarding the maltreatment of me by Monicah Gikiri. A medical director that covers up maltreatment is basically as good as a corrupt cop so I would not recommend using this clinic, and since Drevis Hager is also the medical director for all of bhsi, I would recommend simply going elsewhere. He also didn’t even have the basic decency to keep Gikiri away from me, meaning dude’s also a creep too🥴🥴
