List of Medexpress Urgent Care's Reviews
Lets just say that I hope I don't ever have to come to this particular clinic for an appointment rather it be urgent or scheduled omgoodness
Need to hire more people or people who want to show up. Waited outside for over 15 minutes with the doors locked and they refused to answer the phone.
Everyone was very professional and polite.
Once I finally got seen, everything was fine - the staff was very nice. The process to *get* seen however, was extremely frustrating. Outside, on the window, there is a huge sign that says you can walk in, but when you get inside there is a sign on the desk with a number to call to schedule an appointment, along with signs on the walls that said "no cell phones" and "no cameras." IN ADDITION to this, there are employees clearly visible through the window ignoring the lobby. While I understand and empathize with greeting customers *not* being part of their job, perhaps a curtain or set of blinds is in order so that I'm not standing in the lobby with my sick child feeling ignored and frustrated. I tried to call the number but there was no answer and eventually I got a message from Verizon (my service provider) to check the number and call again. I finally went to their website and made an appointment online & filled out their questionnaire and entered all of my insurance information, then left for an hour since the soonest appointment was an hour later. When I got back, once again I had to call the number to check in. I had to call THREE TIMES before someone finally picked up (from an out-of-state call center, no less) and they asked for ALL OF THE INFORMATION that I had already painstakingly entered online. Did I mention that I had to do all of this with my phone? FINALLY, the pinnacle of frustration was reached because on the online form I filled out my child's legal name as well as their preferred name, and during the entirety of the appointment the staff referred to them by their legal name. They chose to be gracious and not correct them, but it was just stupid. Overall, five stars on the care received (since the staff was obviously not given the preferred name from the online forms), one star on the check-in process. I can't give half stars, so I guess they get 3 stars today.
What's the point in making an appointment if you are gonna be waiting for long periods of time my appointment was at 12pm and have been waiting for an hour this white lady comes in for a 12:30 appointment and starts complaining to the person in the backroom how long is it gonna take? And they let her in at 12:40 it doesn't make sense. Do you gotta catch an attitude with them to be seen on time? Worst testing site I've been to for a pre-employment drug screening would not recommend.
Very poor service! Don’t recommend at all!!
They said registration was closed and they don't even closed til 8pm and we came in around 6:50pm!
I was able to walk in without an appointment. Was seen right away. Dr. was very nice. Received a scrip for antibiotics for ear infection. Staff was great!
This was my first time using MedExpress I brought my son in for a strep test and we were the only ones in the waiting area upon arrival. Front desk staff was the most competent person we encountered. Nurse was a little abrupt in the way she spoke to a sickly 6 year old kid. We got through the exam and throat swab very quickly and I was pleased, thinking we'd actually be in and out of an Urgent Care on a Sunday (because it's always on a Sunday, amiright?) in less than an hour! We killed some time watching videos on my phone for ~45min while waiting for the doctor to come in with results. Thankfully the nurse came in to check whether he had stopped in yet - which must have prompted the Dr to visit. When he did meet with us, he seemed a little confused: he didn't know which one of us was the patient, asked what we were there for, and at one point asked if my son had a throat culture performed - and this was *after* the nurse reported that his test came back positive(??). Next, in preparation for the Rx, the Dr. asked me how much my son weighs. I paused because I didn't know the precise number and they had just weighed him there, wouldn't they know this information? - but then the nurse said something like "77lbs". I think they were going off memory, or confusing us with another patient because they overshot by 15lbs, which is not OK when it pertains to prescribing medication! I disputed their number, and they confirmed it was 61lbs by verifying the chart. Thinking we were done here, the doctor then does a quick look over of my son and then asks us to wait - again! When we finally got out of there, I check on the Rx sent to CVS and find it's filled under my daughter's name! I'm not sure who this error lands on - MedEx or CVS - but overall the whole experience left me feeling fortunate that this was a straight forward visit, because competency overall was LOW. Next time I'll go elsewhere.
Everything takes a very long time! I've been waiting for ages, I feel like I'm starting to grow old

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
