The best Doctor I’ve ever had. Dr. Barry truly cares about her patients and has helped me back to health and happiness

I wish I could have Dr. Barry's email instead of writing this on a public website, I've been trying to find a way to reach out to her but couldn't find any email or phone number. Dr Barry was my primary doctor as a kid, I was a troubled kid and was going through lots of struggles in my life. Looking back at it now I was a confused emotional angry kid trying to get attention from my parents and had a few personal things happen to me.( that Dr Barry had no idea about , because she was to judgmental to ask) This doctor put me on multiple different medications I remember her telling me that I was bi polar, diagnosing me with multiple other things when now as a adult I know for a a FACT I have none of those. If she was a real doctor she wouldn't diagnose me with things and feed me pills she would try to talk to me as hurting kid and figure out why I was in pain. I will never forget the day I balled in her office because she told me I would end up being a loser drug addict and dead on a couch somewhere. I cried my whole way home and night from the words she told me that day at the clinic in Hugo. I guess Ann Barry, what I want you to know is your words, and your doubts and your judgmental behavior towards me, put me where I am today. I would like you to know I am now 2 living in Chicago as a successful graphic designer, I got to COLUMBIA full time and have a 4.0 and am on a scholarship program , and am soon to be working on my masters. AND IM TAKING NO MEDICATIONS TO LIVE MY NORMAL SUCCESSFUL LIFE. You telling me everything I had wrong with me and all these diagnosis made me so confused as young kid, im happy to say that you were VERY WRONG ABOUT ME. And I want to say thank you, for telling me what you did in that office that one day because I have it on a post it note in the back of my planner and it pushes me more then you will ever know. I am not a dead drug addict, I am not a loser, I AM NOT DEAD. I am alive , happy and successful and I have a great relationship with my parents .Did it ever cross your mind that things had happen to me as a kid? That I was hurting so much inside that I was acting out to get attention? Maybe before you tell a young kid these things and make these accusations you should think before you say. Also I went to see a psychiatrist a few months ago for personal reasons and the ONLY thing on my record is I had a drug problem when I was 14. Isn't that funny?No adderall, no mood stabilizers, none of those weird sleeping pills you put me on or none of the diagnoses you gave me .Just that I had a drug problem, so also thanks for messing up my entire health record and making it completely inaccurate. I would not like to blame something like this on anyone, but I haven't had a doctor since you so there is no other explanation for this other then you changed my record. Also this is just my experience with Dr. Barry, but I hope if anyone is considering going to her that you take this review into consideration.one day you see this review . Cori Anderson

Lovely person to work with.

She's considerate, intelligent and careful.

Based on incomplete information, Dr. Barry told me I had MS. It took two months to get to an MS Specialist (two months of hell) who told me that I DID NOT have MS. Another time, I saw her with general body pain lasting months. She ordered a hip x-ray and told me I had arthritis in my hip (thus explaining the TOTAL body pain???) when I suggested that Simvastatin can cause such pain, she agreed that I should stop it and see what happens. Pain went away. No replacement med was ordered.

Dr. Barry has been my primary doctor many years. While my physicals were at the Mayo prior to retirement, Dr. Barry has handled my physicals for the last decade. She has been outstanding and immediately referred me to highly qualified specialists when I had a couple serious medical issues. She is a caring, professional, and intelligent physician.

Dr Barry was quite nice when there were no difficult medical issues. But when she couldn't figure out my severe pain problem she made a huge mistake in assuming I was a drug seeker, which was evident in her suspicious bedside manner. But her incorrect diagnosis left me with a permanent incurable chronic pain condition..now in its 8th year. And her notes in my medical records were many times incorrect and likely dictated for transcription after she forgot some of the details. I hope she learned from it ..never to let it happen again.

Dr. Barry has been a wonderful physician for my family! She listens, I mean really listens to you and she cares! I reccomend her every chance I get!
