List of Todd D. Brandt's Reviews
Dr. Brandt did surgery for a large hydrocele. He didn’t really answer my questions or give me a lot of information. During recovery my pain level was much higher than I was told to expect and the Dr. had no suggestions on management. The Hydrocele returned even larger and his response was that he didn’t know why, but they could repeat the surgery. I ended up getting into Mayo; they quickly diagnosed problems with the epididymis and that it wasn’t a simple Hydrocele. Mayo Drs explained everything in much much greater detail and got me in quickly for surgery. With the right diagnosis and surgery, my recovery the second time was quick.
Dr. Brandt is always very thorough in explaining the results of the blood work, the cat scan and the X-rays. Equally important, he is a great surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone needing expertise in his field.
My major problem with my enlarged prostate for around 30 years was the constant need to go to the bathroom within 1 to 2 hours. Also, there was the problem of having an urgent and almost painful feeling that I had to go. It was annoying, did I say annoying? Since the surgery 3 years ago that Dr. Brandt performed (robotically), all of that has gone away. I have time to get to a bathroom once the feeling comes on. Only once in awhile, like when I get up from sitting do I have a little urgency and a dribble might happen. All in all, however, my life is very much more normal. I even chuckle to myself when other friends have to run to the bathroom when they get an urgent feeling. I'm very thankful for the results of Dr. Brandt's surgery on me and XwouldXX do recommend him and Minnesota Urology to my friends. Don Miller
Dr. Brandt is a wonderful doctor and has been extremely helpful with Ron and his prostate issues these past few years. Highly recommend him, he is extremely knowledgeable and a very caring doctor.
I h ad a routine annual exam. It was painful anbd bloddy like something had been damaged. I had pain and bloody urine for at least three days. Pleease cancle my two appointments for 2024.
To be honest, I never "enjoy" going to see a doctor. That said, I do rather enjoy my annual exams with Dr. Brandt. Although he is thoroughly professional in all respects, and gives me all the information I need, he is also so personable that it's like sitting down with an old friend and chatting about things--not just medical things. I give him 5 stars and highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent urologist.
Excellent care, professional
Dr. Brandt is a good doctor. He knows me as a patient and does a good job of following up on my illness.
Dr. Brandt did my procedure in a very competent manner with no pain, but when he completed the test he told me everything was fine and was going to just walk out without any further explanation or to ask if I had questions. When I asked him why I was continuing to have all these problems his first response was to hesitate and tell me they really didn’t know why. We proceeded to talk and I did get further explanation of what I needed to do in the future. I’m not sure I would go back to him again because his communication style causes me to have lack of confidence in him.
All caregivers were very courteous, professional, thoughtful, and diligent in their work. They accomplished what they set out to do. I appreciate the care given me. Thanks for your help!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
