I saw Dr. Hasseler for the first time this week because my Dr. retired after 29 years. She was really great and I definitely would recommend her to others She was very caring and a great listener. She gave me some good advice about my medical and personal needs

Joy Hassler is the OBGYN that you hope you get. She is amazing. She genuinely cares about you and your pregnancy/baby. I’ve been seeing her for 7 years; through 1 miscarriage and 2 births. I unfortunately didn’t get her at the delivery of my first child but she went out of her way to be there for the birth of my second. A complication had arose before the birth and she did an amazing job at keeping the situation calm while also explaining what was going on. I had another complication after giving birth and again she kept the room calm while also explaining what was going on and what needed to happen. This easily could’ve been very traumatizing for not only me but my partner and because of her demeanor and ability to explain without scaring, it wasn’t. She’s compassionate, personable, and overall a wonderful doctor. If I choose to have anymore babies, she’s the only one I’ll let care for my pregnancy and deliver my baby.

Was super cold and clinical. Didn't listen to me when I advocated for myself and asked questions, but I was going through "normal treatment plans." I saw the nurses more than I saw her. Eventually I was "fired" from her care after a complications with a surgery. And she was quick to pawn me off to another clinic. In reality her treatment plan exacerbated my complications and it took me three years to fully recover and find a doctor who listened from the get-go.
