List of MIriam Kim's Reviews
Never had a doctor ask if it was alright to say a prayer together before surgery. Would definitely go back to her again.
I sent my MRI ahead of time so Dr. Kim could review BEFORE my appt. It was obvious that she had not reviewed it when I came in for my appt. I was in and out of her office in 5 minutes. She said there was nothing she could do for me. Was very unprofessional. I left the room and cried all the way home as I have delt with chronic severe pain for years. I have disc degeneration in my neck and lumbar. I personally would not recommend Dr. Kim.
When I first met with Dr Kim, I was in excruciating pain. I had a bulging disc in my neck and could not use my right arm due to the numbness and pain. She explained the procedure that she would use to help me, plus the alternatives available to me. I elected to have surgery. After the surgery I knew as soon as I woke up in the recovery area that I was better. The pain in my shoulder and arm was gone. My neck was sore from the surgery but that went away within a week or so. This was almost 5 yrs ago and I have not had any problems with my neck. I am very grateful for Dr Kim and her team. God bless you Dr Kim! CJE
My experience was wonderful.
Had an appointment to see Dr Kim and was told she wouldn't see me because I hadn't payed a $2.30 copay which I had no knowledge of. I apologized and had offered to pay the $2.30 over the phone with a debit credit card. The receptionist was very rude and refused to take my take payment. I'm actually very happy that had happened. I found a wonderful Neurosurgeon from a different group (Twin Cities Spine Center). I would think that my experience would be a good indicator of someones ethics.
Was asked to bring my MRI in before my appointment which I did driving from Prior Lake to Golden Valley. I was told she wanted them to review before my visit. It was obvious she had not reviewed when I arrived for my appointment over a week later. She then explained there was nothing she could do for me. Would have been nice if in fact she HAD reviewed and saved me the time to come see her.
I was recommended to see her by my Doctor in Plymouth. I went she showed me my MRI and said it would be an extensive recovery and since I didn't have issues with walking I'd have to live with it. She did not examine me at all- the total time spent was about 120 seconds..It was hardly worth going to her.
Dr. Kim is absolutely the best at discussing diagnosis and listening to all patient concerns. She is prompt and completely in charge of your hospital, surgical, and post operative experience. I recommend her to anyone looking for a successful surgical outcome.
In 2004 I woke and could not move. I was referred to Dr. Kim. My spinal cord was crushed. She rolled her chair over to me, put her hand on my leg and said ”If you sneeze or cough the wrong way, or hit a bump too hard you will be a quadriplegic. She operated immediately. She indeed had given me back to my family. It was a miracle. In 2008, I again blew a disk.I knew because of the skill and compassion Dr. Kim had that I would go to her again. I was back on my feet in a week, playing with my grand kids like nothing had ever happened. Another miracle. Oct 11,of this year,I again had a herniated disk. She again operated on me. I am sitting in my home writing this because of the skillful hands of Dr. Kim. They were courteous and compassionate beyond compare. This is a Dr. that not once, not twice, but three times saved me from a fate that could have been far worse. She gave me back to my family and there is no greater gift than that. Gaylene Bissonette and family :)
Doctor Kim has done two neck surgeries on me since 2004. She saved me from being a quad on the first and took immediate action on the second disc. I trust her with me and my families lives.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
