Taryn Mcevoy's Online Review Report Card

In July 2021, I arrived at Maple Grove Hospital to deliver my daughter. I was scheduled to be induced in a few days but she decided to come on her own (luckily). She was born at 39 weeks. Upon being admitted, I was asked to provide a urine sample. I was later told that DR. TARYN MCEVOY ordered a drug test on me WITHOUT my knowledge or consent. This was supposedly done because of what they considered “insufficient” pre-natal care though I had been going to my weekly appointments leading up to my delivery. Prior to those appointments I had monthly appointments with Maternal Fetal Medicine at Maple Grove hospital because my previous pregnancy has serious complications. Once MFM determined that my daughter was healthy and not going to have the same complications as my last pregnancy, they released me to go back to Oakdale OBGYN. So effectively, my prenatal care with MFM was better than with Oakdale OBGYN. My prenatal appointments with Oakdale OBGYN literally consisted of a blood pressure and weight check, and the doctors there telling me that I was huge and going to have a giant baby that I would not be able to deliver. *I will say here that the midwives and nurses at Oakdale are awesome, but I have met with a number of doctors there and each one was awful* Ordering a drug test on a pregnant mother during delivery without sufficient cause is ILLEGAL. My daughter was not born pre-mature, I did not arrive at the hospital under any kind of influence or duress. There was no cause or reason to have run a drug test on me, WITHOUT my permission, WITHOUT my knowledge. My delivery was easy and fast. My daughter was healthy. I will never see another doctor at Oakdale OBGYN.

I have been to Oakdale OBGYN for my last two babies. I love every doctor/midwife/NP I have seen. Most recently, I had Dr. McEvoy perform my c-section with my daughter. She was kind, patient and very friendly. I felt comfortable throughout my procedure as well as at my pre-op and post-op appts. I definitely plan to keep her as my OB doctor. I recommend them to anyone looking for an OB or for pregnancy. My birth experiences were always great with the nurses and staff. I loved having the Maple Grove Hospital Birth Center right in the same building, so I got to be very familiar with everything before my baby was born. I highly recommend!

Dr. McEvoy has been my doctor for 6+ years, through pregnancies, losses and births. She is fantastic, cautious, thorough, well-spoken, and most of all she truly cares about her patients. I would recommend Dr. McEvoy to anyone woman looking for 5 star+ OBGYN care.

Dr.McEvoy is fantastic and she knows her rope or the job she made me feel very comfortable my first visit she was very nice and outgoing and knew exactly what plan she wanted to go with I look forward to working with her on my journey

Dr. Mcevoy is the best. She has been a part of our journey of trying to start a family through two pregnancy losses so far. She is incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, straight forward…all with a great bedside manner. My husband and I have the utmost respect for her and would recommend her to any couple going through a fertility workup. She recently performed a surgery for me and she took the time to chat with us beforehand about our most recent pregnancy loss and made me feel cared for. She educated me throughout the whole surgery process and answered all of our questions with patience. I was having some severe discomfort overnight after the surgery and called the on-call line, and Dr. Mcevoy called me back promptly and talked through my symptoms to make a simple recommendation that provided immediate relief. I couldn’t be happier with the care I have received from her. I hope to share a brighter journey with her as my OB in the future!

Dr. McEvoy has consistently provided thorough medical advice and services. She listens carefully and patiently addresses any questions or concerns. She tends to err on the side of the caution which has proven beneficial on several occasions.

Dr. McEvoy is one of the best doctors I have ever had, has always taken the time to go through things in detail with me, explain treatments/thoughts/ideas, and is never rushed.
