I was scheduled for a hernia surgery starting at 12n on a Friday. 36 hours prior, Dr McGreavy cancelled because he didn't want to 'start a surgery so late in the day'. I had already had a pre-op physical, gone back for an x-ray, lab tests and a Covid test. I had arranged rides and grocery shopped and pre-ccooked meals (I'm alone). I should probably mention that I was his last surgery prior to his 'being out of town' for 3 weeks. (I think he had a flight to catch) I have no problem with taking vacation but if this surgery was going to interfere with his personal schedule, he should have coordinated with his surgery scheduler. He might also have looked at his schedule and caught this earlier than 36 hours prior to surgery. His scheduler had worked really hard for me and he disrespected all her efforts. I'll make no further comment.....you decide if this is someone you want to work with.

He takes fabulous care of my Momma. Always super safe with procedures and is wonderful at explaining steps to seniors. My Momma thinks very highly of him as do I. He does not rush into needless surgeries and he does not overprescribe useless medication. This family would give him 10 stars if we could. THANK YOU DOCTOR!!

Dr McGreevy is the most caring and compassionate surgeon I have ever encountered. I trust him completely and have always had great experiences in his care over past 9 years.

I have found Dr McGreevy to be the most sincere, caring doctor that I have ever met. My wife and I have had several surgeries between us, including bariatric. I have never had one bad experience with him and would highly recommend him.

Dr. McGreevy and the Whole Health East bariatric team, we're awesome through every step, I needed to complete, to be prepared for bariatric surgery. Doctor McGreevy is very personable and recommended the best possible surgery for me. He took the time to make sure I understood exactly what was going to happen during surgery. Two weeks post-op and I'm doing wonderful! I would recommend him and Health East Bariatrics, because the whole team is wonderful!

Dr. McGreevy was amazing. From the consult to surgery completion, he was professional, thorough, very easy to understand when explaining the procedure, and on time! Kudos to all the staff surrounding him as well!

I had my gallbladder removed recently by a team of doctors and nurses who were wonderful. However, following my surgery, I began to experience immense pain (9 on pain scale) and nausea on a Saturday. I called the on-call surgeon, Dr McGreevy, and left a message with the answering service. 3 hrs later, when I did not receive a call, I called the on-call surgeon again. When I spoke to the answering service again, I confirmed that the doctor did in fact receive my call. This was confirmed. The answering service then called the doctor and then returned my call, with the doctor also on the line, to ensure that the doctor would actually speak to me. When I explained what was going on the doctor explained that what I was experiencing was typical. When I asked if he could give me something for the nausea he told me, "I don't have access to that." He also told me that I would just have to talk to my doctor on Monday when the office opens. His behavior was despicable. I felt like it was a waste of his time to talk to me and the only reason he did was because the answering service called him and kept him on the call to ensure that he would. It made no difference to him how much pain I was experiencing and it was clear he could care less about me

After 3 hrs of not hearing back I called again. The answering service called him and kept him on the line in order for him to actually speak to me. He could care less about me and said he had no access to prescriptions. Maybe others have had better care from him when it was on his terms - despicable conduct!

Dr. McGreevy is highly communicative. My mother in law had surgery today and he spent plenty of time with our family explaining the procedure. She is 96 years old and liked him as well when she met him. He seems highly competent and professional. We were extremely pleased.
