List of Helen M. Torok Md's Reviews
Booked an appt for my daughter. Everyone at the front desk ignored us while trying to check in. After sitting in the waiting room for 30 minutes (I was 7 minutes early for the appointment, btw) then shown to a room that literally, I could see my breath - it was like 55 degrees in there. I sat in the room for over 35 minutes. So tired of waiting - I finally tracked down some random assistant in the hallway and asked when and if the doctor was going to see us. She looked like Bambi in the headlights. So, I grabbed my purse and walked out. Complete waste of time. I heard they triple-book their appointments, so if you have a lot of time to waste, this is the place

Trillium Creek Dermatology in Medina called the police on me yesterday when I came in asking to speak to Dr. Helen Torok personally. They did not call me personally, initially, to inform me of a biopsy returning with a rare cancer diagnosis. They sent out an unsigned form letter instead that I received 7/2. Dr. Torok insisted that I was called....told me four times that I was called and given the results, but I was NOT. I went in to pick up my pathology report and records after speaking to her on the phone briefly yesterday morning. I simply wanted to show her my phone and my Verizon record that shows NO incoming phone calls from Trillium Creek. All I was looking for was an acknowlegement that their office may have made a mistake and possibly might apologize for it. ?Both Dr. Helen Torok and the office manager Aaron Funk refused to come out and/or see me and when I told them I would wait or book an office visit and pay to speak to them I was told the police would be called if I didn’t immediately leave. Then they sent the receptionist back out to tell me that I should be ashamed of myself for wasting the police department’s time. Three Montville police cars arrive, they talk to her in the back office and the officer came out and said “They’re not coming out, and I’m so sorry that this has happened to you”

I used their website to attempt to make an appointment. I looked at three types of appointments that seemed close to what I wanted (a basic skin check for cancer, etc.). I noticed that all three were with the same tech at the same exact time! How they manage that I don't know. I chose one type of appointment and went through the entire process of booking the chosen appointment time slot. I thought how fortunate I was to get one the same day and only about 1.5 hrs. till then. To my surprise, after what I thought was a booked appt, the screen said that until I heard back from the office to confirm it, to not go to the office. So I waited, and waited, and waited. Got closer and closer to what I thought was my booked appt time. It then passed that time. No confirmation! Even now, 3 days later; no email, phone message; nothing, about the appt I really didn't get. I would expect some follow-up by the business along the lines of: sorry, we we weren't able to see you at your scheduled appt. Please make another and we will ensure we get you in". Now that I'm thinking about it, if they try booking multiple people for a 10 min. slot (yes, slots are booked in 10 min. increments); maybe they are not a business that I should patronize. I did use this business about 15 yrs. ago and, as many others have noted, the doc zips in, looks you over, tells notes to the scribe, and dashes off.

Mis diagnosed a melanoma after several appts. Bleached it for improved appearance. I changed providers.

I agree 100% with Skan's review. Support staff are unprofessional, rude and snooty. Poor customer service, poor & unclear communication from Torok all the way down to receptionists. Voicemail messages with questions go unreturned completely & unapologetically. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They even make a killing on expensive procedures and "prescribing" skincare regimens that can only be purchased in their grossly overpriced in-house boutique! Save your money, time and frustration and go to a better and more caring dermatology office.
Medina and the surrounding communities are very fortunate to have easy access to to the world class facility of Trillium Creek in Medina. Dr. Helen Torok is a pro's pro and I am very grateful to her for the outstanding dermatologic care I have received from her and her staff. Dr. H. And L. Torok have made a large investment in our community to provide a vast array of services including general dermatology, Dr Killian ( Mohs surgeon), holistic and integrative medicine, and cosmetic services. Well done and thank you!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
