Leaving a review because I saw Ellie didn't even have 4 stars, which is ridiculous. I have to mirror exactly what Julia Deak said. The staff at Ellie Mental Health are PHENOMENAL. I remember working with my therapist before he came to Ellie. When he first told me, I could see the excitement fill his soul. He worked really hard to become the therapist he was today, fighting through ADHD and other set-backs, and finally he made it to Ellie: A renowned care facility with a strong reputation. He was super excited, and I know why now. Their facilities are kept nicely, the staff are wonderful, and I have not heard of anything but good experiences from those I know. So, with all that in mind, I couldn't recommend Ellie more.
I come to Ellie Mental Health (through telehealth) for medication management. My provider is great and I feel that she truly listens to me and takes the time to thoroughly give me the best care and treatment. She doesn't rush through my appointments (which I had bad past experiences with prior providers I've had) and I can tell she actually cares.
I see Twlight for medication management. She will not give me refills on my meds along with 90 day prescriptions. I have trouble sleeping and she doesn't want to medicate me for sleep. She wants me to use natural remedies like hot tea for sleep. Those don't work. My therapist Maddie Sandeen is on Maternity Leave and you have no therapists to give clients while most of your therapists are on Maternity Leave. You will loose clients predominately because of this. This is very unprofessional and there are not many other clinics I like besides Ellie. You are so close to where I live in Mendota Heights and that is why I choose Ellie for my therapy and medication management. Now I have second thoughts. There are not many large mental health therapy clinics close to me that will do in person appointments. It is extremely hard to find the care people with mental health issues need right now. People can't wait 6 months or more to get care. it is unaccessible.
Let me start with the good. My psychiatrist Beth Frazier is phenomenal. Great at what she does and truly cares about her patients. But never be late to an appointment or the receptionist will call you with a horrible, disrespectful and “talking down” attitude. Teach your receptionists how to have some bedside manner as you’re working in healthcare. Your job is literally to help mentally ill people. Have some grace. Pitiful. Don’t get help here if you want to be talked down to by the receptionist who obviously doesn’t know how to work in healthcare. Try a different career field.
We were there for about a year for my daughter who has a lot of issues. We were dumped by our med management doctor for no reason, knowing we couldn’t get a new med management doctor for three months because everyone is so booked up. Leaving me to manage multiple anti psychotic meds myself. My daughter lost her temper with the family therapist and she dumped her. Her individual therapist also dumped her for raising her voice. Caution if your child has anger issues, don’t go here!

I had such great success with Kyle Keller because of the way he thought, the way his brain worked and how well he articulated his thoughts and ideas with me, and vice versa. I loved how he'd jump down this rabbit hole with me to this psychedelic, metaphysical space to the dance of therapy. I loved quoting Watts and Jung and other philosophers or Buddhist, even religious ideas together. His balance of not allowing this deep mindset to take over but eloquently shared a healthy balance of living this mentality without diving too deep and making it our sole identity. This is where I thrived. When we connected on a deep core spiritual level, that's where I found myself the happiest, also where I grew the most. That's what I need in a therapist. I need someone to care. Care actively, care intently and show that in a raw form. That's where the true connection was built, that's what kept me coming back. That is what healed me. So much love and appreciation for what this person has done for my life and my families life. This journey saved me and I'm so glad I had his support to finding myself.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
