I have had 3 surgeries done by Dr Van Beek ,and everyone of them has went very well. He is a caring, amazing dr. He also has an amazing team!
He's absolutely amazing to work for. His care for others is like no other doctor.
Dr. Van Beek takes the time to both explain and listen. He is an expert in his field and is able to identify underlying issues that will improve the problem. His bedside manner is fantastic—caring and professional. And his staff are just the greatest.
He is just the best! I have been seeing him for 15 years for both reconstructive and plastic surgery. I will never see anyone else! He is kind, honest and caring. You can ensure you will have the best quality experience with him and his team!
Not recently, but in 2005, he saved my husband's hand after he had a bad encounter with dado blades on a table saw, and nearly cut off all of the fingers on his left hand Doctor Van Beek's skills were amazing, and my husband and him established a great rapport. Glad to see he is still practicing. The biggest compliment he paid my husband was, "YOU make ME look good!!" There is nobody better in "meatball surgery" than Dr. Van Beek!
Dr. Van Beek is a really good cosmetic surgeon, too, in addition to the plastic surgery that he does. He is a man of few words but is kind and funny. He offers extensive aftercare and cares about his patients, as does his staff. I highly recommend.
In the early 1980’s, Dr Van Beek saved my son’s leg. He was in a dirt bike accident with a tractor and a fork on the front. He was rushed to a hospital and there they wanted to amputate his leg. We got a recommendation about this doctor who could save limbs. We contacted him and were told to transfer him to North Memorial. He did a 10 hour surgery and spent 2 months in the hospital. Dr. VanBeek was always kind and helpful. My son currently runs his excavating company and is doing well.
I had what I called my 50,000 mile tune up in October of 2018. How I found Dr. Van Beek is that I bought a skin care Groupon and it was with a esthetician in his office (Diana Geller, also stellar). I asked the ladies on the down low how Dr. Van Beek's work was and they all said good. Before you say, well of course that is what they would say, I can say that it not necessarily true (from experience). In any case, I had a droopy eyelid and a small amount of fat under my chin that I wanted addressed. So I had a consultation with Dr. Van Beek where he looked at some previous work I had done and made a few observations (different from suggestions), which I appreciated, because if I was going to be down and out for an amount of time, I'd rather it be all at one time or as much at one time as possible. In the end he ended up doing fat transfer to my face and the back of my hands, surgery under my chin, a Bleph, and he got the fat from my tummy and flanks. He also had to "fix" a previous surgeons bad result with my ears. All in all I was in surgery for a long time and was really banged up afterwards. Well, no pain, no gain, right? I can say confidently he did all that was called for and then some. His aftercare consists of 6 follow up ultrasounds where he also reviews your progress and removes stitches. Then he sees you at one month follow up and then I believe at 6 months. All in all I would recommend Dr. Van Beek overall, he is a man of few words but has a kind and gentle manner, and a stellar and respectful and kind staff.
Did my hand surgery great doctor did a great job saving my hand. Samir

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
