Online Reviews Breakdown
List of Pediatric Surgical Associates's Reviews
First, our primary told us my son needed an umbilical hernia repair. We went in to PSA and saw Dr. Wahoff for $365 for 12 minutes of his time for him to confirm that my son needed surgery. Surgery was scheduled. What wasn't explained through this entire process is the outpatient fees that come with using PSA and PSA outsourcing their surgeries to different facilities. There is a major issue with transparency at PSA. Here is breakdown of charges: Outpatient visit to determine surgery and schedule: $365 Pre-op (out of PSA control, but still required): $567 (included having to pay for a covid test) Surgery by Dr. Wahoff: $2,240 Anesthesia administration by outsourced party (this was not explained by PSA or even brought up when learning what this surgery entailed): $1,042.65 Charges by Children's (none of this was explained by PSA or even brought up when learning what this surgery entailed): Anesthesia: $1,530 (didn't I already pay for this, nope) Surgery: $4,471 (didn't I already pay for this, nope). Miscellaneous other charges: $429 Get a second opinion before you agree to a procedure that may not be deemed necessary. Ask so many questions you annoy them. This is a really classic example of a company taking advantage of the system - in addition offering up the least information possible to make a decision. At this point I'm almost convinced the system is so that an umbilical tube is intentionally cut and clamped poorly so recommendations 3 - 5 years later are such that the facilities make more money. Really disappointed and strongly recommend a second opinion before agreeing to proceeding with PSA. My sons belly button actually looks worse that it did when he had his hernia. In addition, I realize the mistakes I've made here are great, but the transparency that should be offered by PSA and isn't is what concerns me the most - especially when a parent is already overwhelmed with decision making and stress in a situation like this.
So incredibly impressed with all of the doctors, nurses, and other staff we have worked with and encountered here. My daughter has been seeing Dr. Katie since she was 6 months old and she along with the other doctors have always made me feel like they were genuinely concerned about her health and well being!
They were wonderful and my son's surgeon was great. I felt comfortable from start to finish. Thank you!!
My child ended up in the ER after his surgery and the Surgeon (once he felt like paying attention) had horrible bed side manor. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone. Thier way of handling an infant's emergency situation was very improper and unacceptable! They obviously do not take the 5% risk factor into any consideration! Extremely disappointed in their care as a whole.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
