Exceptional! I have never had a surgeon with such warmth and compassion. Very knowlegable about breast cancer and also has a great sense of humor! I feel so lucky to have had him as my surgeon.

Absolutely one of the best Dr. that I have been with. Ease of talking, through, always patient, showed concerns, discuss everything, and his staff is the same. I would only have BC surgery by him. I even went for a second opinion and he said that it is good to do so, and I did and went back to him. top of the ladder he is.

Dr. Zera is the best doctor! He took real care in my treatment and was so kind and gentle when I was afraid at 27 years of age. He performed a surgery that produced great results. He followed up with me consistently. He is 1 in a million! Love Dr. Zera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr.Zera is one the best doctors I have ever had. Dawn his assistant is absolutely wonderful. I went to Dr. Zera for a second opin on by Breast Cancer. He spent 2 1/2 hours with me for a second on his last appointment of the day on a Friday. I changed doctors to him and have never regretted it for a minute. He is the best listener, explains everything in a understandable manner, very knowledgible, and very caring.

He treats me like a human being, even when he's tired and overworked. He's funny, he's extremely well versed in his field. He has an endless amount of drive and curiosity about medicine. He's kind, thorough, and a good teacher. Realistic, but sensitive AND a surgeon. He's one in a million. He's a good person and a wonderful doctor. I'm lucky to know him.

Exceptional with allowing me to take the time I needed with each appointment, addressed questions, engaged in conversation in a mutually participative manner. He "gets" what it means to assist with partnering in care. Helped to sort out possible avenues of treatment utilizing his research background, taking into consideration research of interest to me - remained grounded and practical while taking into account my personal preferences.

Dr Richard T Zera is not only an Oncologist, but also a Surgeon. He was the head of the B-1 Cancer Center at HCMC, then was promoted to Chief of Surgery, now he went back to being a doctor and less of an administrator. With over 21 years of internship and schooling, he is one of the best doctors in the entire state of MN, and one heck of a nice guy too. I am a patent of his and have been since 2001. His specialty is breast cancer.
