Went here with a friend and was impressed, so I wanted to leave a good review to balance out these negative reviews. All behavioral (mental) health ER's are probably overtaxed right now, so it's not the staff's fault. In fact, the fact that they do triage in the hallway and assessment over video in a conference room is a great idea, because otherwise you would be waiting for hours just to get into a room and be seen. They eventually advised that my friend could go home and call her psychiatrist in the morning, which was right on as she was already doing better. Everyone we interacted with was a kind and professional human being. Made me thankful there are so many good people willing to do this job, because I certainly wouldn't want to. Yes, they have more patients than they can help quickly, but like I said that will probably be the case everywhere. We were in and out in 3 hours, which (sadly or not) is pretty amazing for any ER.
Didn't even see a doctor. Waited twelve hours and said screw this. They're definitely 5 stars when it comes to wasting time
Horrible place to go if you need mental health help. They had access to all the notes on my son and still failed. We need a psychologist and further testing, they scheduled appts for therapy at an office 40 minutes from our house. How are we expected to continue care with that? We already have a therapist so their help was a big fat zero. The resources they provide are not at all what you need. Save the time and do not go here. Not worth it.
-6 hour wait to see a see a dr for 10 min -Mental health area had beds all over in the hallways. People puking in and out of rooms, patients screaming cursing and threatening at nurses, patients throwing iPad and table cart out into the hallway where we were sitting. You can hear every patient talking with a nurse or doctor about their condition. It is very hard to have a teenager with acute anxiety listening to the ways people may kill them selves. It was the worst ER experience I’ve had in my life. My son left more elevated in his panic than when we came. The dr spent 5-10 minutes with us and gave us a prescription he already has for his anxiety that isn’t effective. She said, go back to his psychiatrist. I told them his psychiatrist told me to bring him to the ER. He had/has really intrusive thoughts. Now his meds still are still not right. He got zero help and feels more hopeless than ever that no one seems like they can help him. We were told someone would go over treatment options or recommendation before we left. It didn’t happen. They said they’d call the next day to go over possible resources for help. Didn’t hear back until 5 days later. I get that the hospital was packed and their were no beds. But in the Mental Health ER, there needs to be private spaces for patients to wait so they don’t have to see and hear everything that’s going on. More money needs to be put in that unit and staffing to truly serve their patients well. I will never come back to this ER again.
This is a few years ago but it could have changed. I was having violent hallucinations due to a medication and the Mental health admissions lady told me “I need to learn to deal with it” and that” it was my fault “... I was in 8th grade
Told me my symptoms weren't life threatening and sent me home!!
I have been calling to and visiting a patient on station 32. Today I called and the nurse was very cold, impersonal and I will say rude. It is important for my friend to know I am calling and caring. The station has always been very kind and helpful. I am not happy, and I am concerned about my friend!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
