I had something in my eye. And she kept talking to me and telling me what she had to do she was very friendly and so was her assistant that typed notes. After she was done it felt so much better and she was a great person at her job and to talk to. She gave me The number she could be reached at and she called the next day to check on me.

Dr. Blakstad is thorough, and takes time to answer all my questions. She is a delight to visit with and I enjoy my appointments with her. I might add that her transcriber is there to take down all of the Dr.'s notes regarding the exam so of course she is talking to her throughout the exam. But, afterwards, she fully explained everything about her findings directly to me, and answered my questions. I highly recommend her!

This review is based on my first and only appointment with this Optometrist (with whom I'm entrusting the care of my eyes). My first impression: She has limited interpersonal skills and therefore, did not try to build rapport with me as a new patient. This negatively impacted my trust/confidence in her ability to deal with my eye condition. Upon completing my exam & speaking to her transcriber more than to me, she exited with no acknowledgement that the appointment was over.
