I had the best experience with Dr Kayan and her team! The receptionist have been so helpful with any questions I have had. I had an explant and liposuction procedure done and I am so happy with my results. Dr Kayan has been so caring and helpful even weeks out from my surgery. I highly recommend her and her team!

I had ftm double incision top surgery with nipple grafts in May of 2022 and I could not be more pleased with my results! The scars are thin and fading quickly and everything is symmetrical and looks exactly as I hoped it would be! Dr. Kayan and her team were incredibly helpful and professional, and answered all of my pre and post op questions promptly. The day of my surgery went smoothly and efficiently, and I felt very well cared for. Dr. Kayan answered all of my questions via text or phone call during my recovery period, and I had one in-person follow up appointment. It’s very clear to me that Dr. Kayan cares deeply about her patients, 10/10 would recommend!!

Dr. Kayan is the BEST of the BEST! My surgery was so much easier than expected and I healed SO quickly! We drove almost 6 hours to see her and came home immediately after surgery (the same day) and it was so easy and smooth. Dr. Kayan was SO worth the drive and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She made my surgery so easy and smooth. She is so caring, personable and incredibly meticulous in her work… HIGHLY recommend her!

Dr. Kayan‘s office reminds me of a small little family. Everyone works well together which makes the clinic run really smooth. I had a baby when I was 18 which gave me a saggy stomach and then I had twins when I was 29 and it got worse. I have had that bulge on my stomach that would hang over my pants since I was in my teens. I always tried to hide it. As my surgery came closer my nerves got the best of me. I would email them sometimes twice a week to tell them my concerns, what I was nervous about. They always got back to me right away. The staff would always calm me down and reassure me that everything will be OK. I was so impressed how quickly they would get back to me. I had a tummy tuck with a Panniculectomy. On my 3rd check up with Dr Kayan we took the binder off and I stood up and she touched my “abs” and I actually had a hard stomach! This was such an amazing feeling. When the bandages came off and I took my first shower I looked down and could see my feet for the very first time. I was able to handle the pain. If your caregiver gives you your medication on a schedule like instructed you should be fine. I was off the medication within 4 days. It has been a year since the surgery and I still get excited when I wear clothes that I would never have tried. Thank you, you changed my life!

I had a very positive experience with Dr. Kayan and her office, both in terms of surgery itself (double-incision mastectomy) and quality of communication before and afterwards. I would describe Dr. Kayan's manner as brisk and warm. Krissy, her patient care coordinator, was quick to respond via phone, email, and text (including forwarding things to Dr. Kayan as necessary), and assisted in dealing with insurance providers for the prior authorization, my employer for the FMLA paperwork, and the hospital for the registration/check-in process (Dr. Kayan did my surgery at North Memorial in Robbinsdale.) I appreciated that Dr. Kayan took my preferences into account when deciding on incision shape/placement and size/placement/projection of the nipple-areola complex, and that she clearly communicated in advance with me about her decisions, both at the pre-surgery appointment and on the morning of surgery. Monica, Dr. Kayan's surgical assistant, was similarly respectful and clear at the post-op appointment. I also appreciate that Dr. Kayan provided non-judgmental and reassuring advice via text when I did not follow certain post-surgery instructions (the smoking/lifting/movement restrictions) and thus dealt with a small infection 6 weeks or so into recovery. I didn't have to deal with misgendering, waiting on hold, signing into a patient messaging system, delayed responses, or do a bunch of self-advocacy for things like prescription refills, and that made healing so much easier. I am very happy with my chest now (6 months post surgery), and I am grateful to Dr. Kayan, Monica, and Krissy for the excellent and respectful care they provided.
