List of Nystrom & Associates's Reviews
Susan Sawyer is so nice and polite and understanding everybody. There is really nice I like it there.
I feel liked I am being heard by the Psychiatrist. I am confident in the service I receive from Nystroms and Associates.
I was very pleased with Sarah Aniko, she made me feel very comfortable while taking the information I provided her. I have an appointment in March. Looking forward to working with her.
I have lived with my mental health states since I was born. Most of the time I had to figure out by myself how to cope with this. I decided it was time to learn some skills, ones I had already learned by myself, but now ones that were “known” to help. I have tried many treatments over the years, some useful and some damaging to my brain. I decided to try learning DBT. I was not as able to count on being able to get to the training so I looked for something online. I found Nystrom and asscs. offered this service, and my insurance covered it. (I’d heard about the Nystrom clinics before.) I am halfway through a year of the training, which is how they do it. You get help for a year. It’s a year of group meetings with a therapist hour also each week. It’s been great and very helpful. I’d already figured out some of the skills and had been using them and I know I had been doing some things that were not helpful. I’m very pleased with how things are going. It’s all been very helpful. I have wanted to be part of a therapy group for many years and the therapist sessions run a full 60 minutes (or even a little more), which is much more helpful for me than 55 or 45 minute sessions. Also, I had in the past been used to having a session every two weeks, apparently thats the best you can hope for. Those sessions were very important to me,, trying to go without them was very, very hard on my mental health. The group and the therapist sessions were fully focused on helping me learn to use the skills and concentrate on how I’m doing. I like having these sessions, they seem to be more helpful than other therapy sessions with others I’ve had before. But then, I didn’t quite know what to ask for and they didn’t always know how to give me more skills. I have been living with the illness since 1958, and they didn’t always know what to do to give me more help. My nuclear family were the only people who knew I was living with a chronic illness and what it was so without talking to mental health providers, I had almost no one to talk about this, especially someone who had some understanding of what it was like for me. I suppose that’s why I needed to see a therapist regularly. It’s only been a year or so that I’ve decided to be open about my issues. I’m careful about when and who I share with and the experience has been great! No longer wearing a mask. Being who I really am and letting myself show when things are good for me and when they are bad. People just need to hang in there as best they can and work with people who understand. The DBT program has been one of the best things that has happened to me. I feel Nystrom’s program is good. I had tried DBT twice before in years past and it had been nothing like this and they didn’t want me in their programs. I guess they felt I wasn’t that “sick” or other reasons like that. Their programs were nothing like the one I’m in now and were not that helpful. I really recommend DBT therapy, especially the program they use at Nystrom.
This clinic in New Brighton is very professional and welcoming. It was quiet and calm in the waiting room. The doctor has always been helpful and listens to my concerns, and gives good advice.

Additional references MN Case 66-CV-19-1699, Title 18 USC 1956 to 1963 regarding 2006 events (organisation) related to my current outpatient care and conflicts to resolve. This review is for the New Brighton location. The ARMHS program is the worst, most apathetic network of "support" that I had ever experienced. One ARMHS worker in particular, Rena Cleveland, was so apathetic and condescending to me that I can never feel safe around her type again, and her supervisor Joe Sehl was similarly disaffected and unconcerned with my issues with being bullied, stolen from, and illegally evicted. They knew that I have Williams syndrome and require outside advocacy and can not do most things by myself. Joe Sehl informed me that ARMHS workers can not legally testify on my behalf, which meant that the whole time I was being falsely accused and menaced by a previous landlord, all my ARMHS workers could do was sit there and watch and pretend to take notes on their computer. Rena's bedside manner was so caustic and unconcerning, I can't understand how such an angry and soulless husk managed to land a social work job. Since I can not count on ARMHS to help me anymore, I have lost all track of my mail and paperwork and hadn't been to a doctor since I moved, and it's all because ARMHS workers get paid to just sit there and watch youtube videos on their laptops and tell clients that "I'm not your babysitter, do everything yourself," so they can smirk to thesmelves while watching you struggle. I do not recommend this location at all unless you like seeing people get paid to sit there silently and pretend to listen to you while they watch youtube on their laptop. For reference, my therapist at the Eden Prairie location, who does nothing but SIT IN HER OFFICE ALL DAY, has done more to provide tangible support and advocacy for me in the form of e-mails than anything tangible that Rena or Joe had ever done. Utterly useless cockroaches.
I have been with Nystrom & Associates for about 10 years. I was diagnosed with Major Depression and Anxiety. They have given me the guidance I've needed to deal with my issues by talking with a therapist and taking medications to help me throuh the depression, calm down, and focus on my care. For some people, they only need care for a short time, and others may need it for years with the possibility of medications the rest of their lives (like people do with heart disease and diabetes). I would highly recommend Nystrom & Associates for any mental health issues. Don't go on suffering. Get some help, You're not alone. I probably wouldn't be here now, if it wasn't for their care. They are very nice people.
This place is a joke they only want your money. $600 for 15 mins what a joke and when you need them they don’t answer.
They practice conversion therapy using alternative marketing. They should be stripped of their credentials by the APA.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
