I had an eye appointment due to eye pain. I was given two tests and prescribed two medications but wasn’t told what my diagnosis was. I requested to have my notes from the visit. I got them in the mail today. In the notes it states two different diagnosis that said I was told about in great detail, which I had no idea until now. The notes also stated I was given printed material on the diagnoses, which I was not. I was told one of my tests came back very low, but when I searched up the normal numbers, I’m within the normal range. I will not be going back and now have to start at a new doctor. Horrible bed side manners. He cussed. He told me my pain would be horrible in my back if I had a specific disease I asked about…that I would be in the ER asking them to shoot me. Not what I expected to hear. A 15 minute appointment turned into an hour of totally not knowing what is causing my eye pain.
I saw Dr. Sealock this past Summer for an evaluation for vision therapy stemming from a concussion a few years ago for which I've done therapy at two other providers and seem numerous other Dr for. I began to have a migraine during the appointment that ran 2 hours with different people coming in and out in a disorganized fashion. I was left in the room alone for 10 minutes at a time repeatedly during the course of the appointment. At one point Dr. Sealock came in to look at my "dilated eyes" that had not been dilated yet. I didn't appreciate being spoken to like a child with being called "Rockstar" and other inappropriate for an adult names during my appointment which perhaps is just habit from working with kiddos? Finally at the end of the 2 hour, chaotic appointment, He came in to give me his "summary". He stated that he would testify in court that I hadn't done any vision therapy when I had indeed been working very hard and that he didn't see any heterotrophia for which I wear
My daughter struggled with reading. She was in the 13th %-tile in MAP reading scores the spring prior to therapy. The following fall, she increased to the 46th %-tile. Her most recent MAP score was in the 81st %-tile! Her personal growth in reading has been awesome to witness. Vision therapy is not a fix for eye-sight (she'll always need glasses for near-sightedness). But the doc and his team worked to help Erin's vision (her eyes working together to decipher information). Thanks!
My child had his eyes checked 2 months before Dr. Sealock. He said they had drastically gotten worse and would continue to do so unless we did vision therapy but that I shouldn't get his glasses updated because his prescription should be back to about where he started when done with vision therapy. Immediately rechecked his glasses prescription back at his normal provider and they were still the same as 2 months ago. Nothing had change just part of the sales pitch. Beware!!!!!
Dr. Sealock is the best eye doctor in the world, no, in the universe.
Very friendly and efficient staff, and probably the most thorough eye exam that I have ever received. Highly recommended!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
