I've been wanting to write this review for almost a year but decided to wait until I was almost fully recovered. A year ago, Dr. Nassr and team did a complete spinal fusion, from my neck to my tailbone. I was 70 and the outcome of a complete recovery was far from certain. Not only did the pain go away immediately, post surgery, I regained most of the height I had lost. Although my flexibility is definitely reduced, through time I have adapted and now drive, walk long distances and do limited pilates. Days go by that I almost don't think about it. Before meeting with Dr. Nassr, I was resigned to living a life with a spine that grew more painful and twisted by the day... I went to several spine specialists even a scoliosis clinic in Texas. All told me there was nothing I could do except exercise. I am not overstating things when I say that Dr. Nassr gave me back my life. He is also a wonderful, warm human being and I can't say enough good things about Mayo in Rochester.

He saved my best friends life. She lost her husband to covid two years ago; she had been suffering tingling and paralysis for over a year. This man is a saint.

Very down to earth. Listens to everything you have to say. Patient and caring. Likes challenges!

Dr Nassr operated on my neck and had to fuse three vertebrae. I got out of surgery at noon. Was up walking by three and was discharged the next day by noon. He was very down to earth in all of my appointments and always met me one on one. He wouldn’t leave until all my questions has been answered. Highly recommended.

Dr. Nassr is literally a super hero to my family. I come from a line of falling apart spines and he saved mine in the nick of time. He did a different procedure than the local doctors wanted to do. No fusion and I feel like NOTHING ever happened to me! He’s the BEST!!!

Dr. Nassr saved my life. I had spinal stenosis and had I been in a car accident, he told me I would have been paralyzed. He performed a seven-hour surgery and fused me from C-2 through T-2. Have no problems bending or twisting. AWESOME, kind, gentle man! "THE MASTER!"

Dr. Nassr is very very kind and AMAZING! He fixed my neck and I feel like nothing ever even happened!!!

Dr. Nassr answered all of my questions and concerns. He did a great job of explaining my condition. After surgery I spoke with him every day I was in the hospital and he spent as much time as I needed to answer my questions. 4 weeks after surgery I feel great. It is great to be able to walk without pain once again.

He was complete in explaining the complexity of what my spine surgery would entail, recovery, and that I needed complete family buy-in. I saw three spine surgeons in Poetland, Oregon metro area before seeking an opinion from the Mayo Clinic. They were through in the evaluation before sending me to Dr. Nassr. He is a excellent surgeon with a great team. When in doubt, go to the Mayo Clinic.
