So thankful that we connected with Dr Leibovich. Starting with our initial video conference 4 weeks ago, we were confident that we were with the best qualified physician for kidney tumor removal. We knew that the 340 mile trip from Peoria, IL was critical for my wife’s successful treatment. Our physician contacts during this 4 week journey included Dr Bearrick and Dr Sharma. They both, along with Dr Leibovich have superior communication skills with their patient and family. Also, there was never a rush - - - always continuing the discussion until all of our questions and concerns were addressed. It would also be appropriate to acknowledge the excellent service from all of our staff encounters at Mayo Clinic and during our 4 days as a patient at St Mary’s. We are blessed with a positive outlook for this unanticipated journey and look forward to continued positive healing in the coming weeks. Thank you, Dr Leibovich Carole & her family

Dr.Liebovich is that person that went the extra mile. He represents how well dividends are paid when you can apply yourself to continue your studies. I went to several other very well known centers, all offered the same. Dr. Liebovich was the only one who offered 4 options for my situation along with a strong sense of confidence which completely comforted my wife and I in absolutely having him perform my surgery. My wife had transitional kidney cell carcinoma and was being treated locally in Pennsylvania when we decided to seek treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. We were fortunate in being assigned Dr. Bradley Leibovich, chair of Mayo's urology department. Dr. Leibovich and his team conducted additional imaging and determined my wife also suffered from a previously undiagnosed lung tumor. (The lung tumor is now being treated by other specialists at Mayo and is well under control.) As to the kidney cancer, Dr. Leibovich recommended pre-surgical chemotherapy which was then engineered by an excellent oncologist at Mayo, Dr. Lance Pagliaro. (Mayo doctors believe in the "team" concept and stay well within the lanes of their expertise.) The 3 series of chemo treatments successfully shrunk the kidney cancer and reduced the chance of metastasis. Recently returned from Mayo after successful surgery. Dr. Leibovich removed my wife's cancerous kidney. No metastasis. I admire everything about Mayo Clinic. Its professionals are very expert and have great attitude. Mayo Clinic is also a great research center. Whenever we need assistance, Mayo is only a phone call away. I believe Mayo Clinic saved my wife's life.
