Dr Saris is an excellent doctor. At first he may come across as a little hard to visit with. Ask him tough, pertinent questions and he will go to extreme lengths to make sure you fully understand the situation. I would have no problem having Dr Saris take care of me in the future.

My mother had a knee replacement surgery with Dr. Saris. The surgery itself went fine and she healed well. However, his bedside manner was despicable. He did not even attempt to take a few minutes to call my dad and I to briefly discuss how the surgery went, as we were told. My mom reported that he stood in the distance and barely acknowledged her and did not show any sort of empathy or concern when he came in to see her a whole day after the surgery. During her pre-op appointments, he was rude and dismissive. You can't claim to be a well-renowned surgeon at a top hospital, but not even show your patients basic human decency. Even the nurses were surprised by his absence in his whole process. I myself am in healthcare and have never seen this kind of treatment by a physician. Very disappointing.

Suffered horrific injuries from his surgery. Agree he is cocky, arrogant and a poor listener. I would give him a zero if I could.

Dr. Saris is attentive, personable, and knowledgeable when it comes to assessing the knee. I trust him, and will consult with him again if I need further help.

I was so relieved to receive notification of a telehealth appointment with Dr. Daniel Saris, who is part of the Mayo Clinic team specializing in the knee. I did come here to WebMd to check out reviews before my appointment, and was dismayed ~ but not dissuaded from keeping my appointment. I went ahead and met with Dr. Saris ~ who was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! He was attentive. He asked questions and listened to my responses. He reviewed my MRI results and X-Rays with me. He has an incredible fast wit and is funny. I have incredible confidence with Dr. Daniel Saris. He will be whom I call again should my knee take a turn for the worse. I appreciated the knowledge, insight, and humor that Dr. Saris shared in caring for me as a patient. These other reviews do not do him justice at all. Dr. Saris really helped me understand my current status which is a "new normal" for me. If you are conisdering seeing Dr. Saris, please know that he is an Ace of a Doctor.
