List of David M. Nagorney's Reviews
When a University Medical School where I live (Kansas City, Ks) turned me down for a Whipple Procedure I was lost and despondent. They washed their hands of me and I guess they expected me to fade away. On the advice of a friend (a retired radiation oncologist) I went to Mayo and visited with Dr Nagorney. Once the Medical School found out that Mayo and Nagorney's team was involved, they started playing ball again. Dr Nagorney performed the surgery and the rest of the Oncology Team took over my treatments. I am now able to take care of my wife. Mayo Clinic and Dr David M. Nagorney saved my life....Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I met Dr. Nagorney last December following a radical hepatectomy in Boston MA, we we currently live. Scheduled a follow up for last week, as I still having issues. He knew I was traveling a distance and immediately I was added to next day schedule. As this was my second rodeo, I was able to communicate with anesthesia my wishes, and things went extremely well. Dr. Nagourney is an amazing and talented surgeon who has given more than 40 + years in treating patients with PLD. He spent more than adequate time postoperative walking me through journey ahead, reassuring me that I will never need a transplant and this may be last surgery. I am most blessed to have been treated by his compassionate wonderful man, and have been given a new lease on life because of him! Thank you, Dr. Nagourney for saving my liver and my life! May God bless you and all your efforts!
Simply the most gifted surgeon i have ever seen operate.
Dr Nagorney did a liver resection on my husband July 2017. Doctors in San Diego said that it could not be done, and if attempted he would die of liver failure. 3.5 years later my husband is doing well. He did have one distant metastasis that was treated with immunotherapy and proton. We owe his life being saved to Dr Nagorney. He is an amazing surgeon.
Dr. Nagorney performed a liver resection on my mother five days ago. He completed a surgery that Nebraska doctors said could not be done. He successfully removed multiple cancerous lesions. We will be eternally grateful for his skill and expertise. He gave my mom her life back.
Dr Nagorney performed my liver resection in 2012 & saved my life. He’s a saint & genius with the hands of God.
Dr Nagourney saved my life.
In 2000 i was transferred from a small town in Arkansas via ambulance to the Mayo Clinic. Dr Nagorney performed a liver resection as well as partial removal of my diaphragm. My diagnosis was malignant germ of the liver, it is now 2018 and I remain cancer free. I’ve not made it back to Rochester Mn to tell how thankful that God used him to save my life and for that I am eternally grateful!! Thank you so much Dr Nagorney, you are truly the best!!

Doctor Nagorney is a the best surgeon. He saved my husbands life! He was able to do a resection that other doctors would not do and had said he was not resectable. After almost two years the cancer reoccurred and He was willing to do another surgery which may help improve survival greatly. I completely trust this doctor. He was meant for this work and I hope that he continues for many more years. It will be a sad day for the rest of us when he decides to retire. A great doctor who is caring and comes up with the best options for survival. We are truly blessed to have him as our surgeon.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
