I went to Mayo thinking I was going to the best hospital, when actually I got a normal scope, no more answers than when I came, UC / Chrons and to take new biologic. That didn’t work. Dr. Loftus just explained what I had, he didn’t tell why I have it, how to get me to stop bleeding, what other resources are coming to help. The team just knows how to do a colonoscopy. Plain and simple.

Dr. Loftus is an angel. so kind, so patient. It has been such a blessing, a true miricle that I have found a doctor like him. He is my 6th specialist. I have been with him over 10 years. I would follow him around the globe if I had to, to stay under his care

I have seen Dr. Loftus several times and he is by far the best GI doctor I have seen. I have been to a total of 3 GI's now and he seems to be more knowledgeable and thorough than anyone I have been to. Each time I go I feel like he spends adequate time with me and he asks lots of questions to make sure he covers everything. He also answers all of my questions and makes sure I understand everything completely before leaving. His staff is also very friendly and scheduling appointments with him and the entire Mayo Clinic is a breeze. I even showed up 2 hours early for an appointment one day and they squeezed me in early because I needed to get on the road to travel home, since I live 10 hours away. He was well worth the drive!I have Crohn's Disease and I would recommend him to anyone.
