I worked with Dr. Poland in the early 80's at Abbott/Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis alongside Dr. Kathryn Love and Dr. C. Gerald Schrock. I was the Epidemiology Assistant. I conducted surveillance throughout the hospital, prepared reports, isolated patients, assisted with exposures, produced and periodically updated Abbott's Infection Control Manual, and procured and previewed any published relevant research materials regarding emerging infectious diseases. This evening I happened upon a Mayo site online and discovered that The Mayo Clinic was lucky enough to have employed Greg Poland. He is the best resident I ever worked with at Abbott. Always the professional; his sense of humor managed to shine through when it was most needed. I am so happy to now know where he landed. Edie

As a physician myself having heard Dr Poland speak several times and becoming acquainted with his career and life, I find his knowledge and wisdom exceptional. His balanced practical expertise during the Covid19 Crisis is invaluable. Highly recommend his YouTube and podcast interviews.
