Very excellent, thorough doctor. Great bedside manner and passionate teacher.

Met this phenomenal doctor on Last week to obtain a second opinion. He was thorough in his assessment and provided an unbiased opinion allowing me to make an informed decision. So happy with my visit and his insight on my very confusing case.

This Dr. will NOT listen to you & regards your thyroid symptoms as something else! A total waste of time & money seeing him! He left the room without even looking at all the information I prepared him. I asked for a referral to someone else if he couldn’t help me & he declined. Totally dismissive of my symptoms!!!!!! I had no symptoms prior to my thyroid removal & he insists it’s not related even though my tests all come back negative for arthritis, etc. He did not even address my hair loss/weight gain that I specifically asked him about. He didn’t call my meds in like he said he would. He left me in tears with how cold & unprofessional he was. Then I was sent to the reception room while crying hysterically for an hour. I can’t believe the Mayo Clinic with their reputation would have him on staff. This Dr. is shameful!!! I asked him specifically why I have HYPOthryroid symptoms with hyperthyroid lab work. He told me I wasn’t hypothyroid. Drs are told to clinically listen, he doesn’t!

Dr Morris is incredible if you’re looking for the most updated Thyca consult and follow up care. I’ll return to his care for every cancer reoccurrence if this is the case. I say this bc he’s very passionate about the most recent research that suggests surgery and RAI are not always the best option for care. He also supports frequent monitoring and surveillance for slow growing papillary cancer instead of scaring his patients into unnecessary surgery and nuclear medicine. He’s patient and encourages informed decisions without a rush. On the other hand, Unfortunately, Dr Morris, is not open to individualized treatment for hypothyroidism. He uses the bed so popular TSH and T4 to determine “normal” lab values, refusing to acknowledge the significance of of a full thyroid panel including T3 and RT3. He’s also committed to T4 only treatment, Levothyroxine, despite the overwhelming amount of research that suggests this is inadequate for many patients. Dr Morris is quick to dismiss hypothyroidism symptoms as psycho somatic and “not related” to having no thyroid or hypothyroidism. Sadly, he refuses to acknowledge the tens of thousands of patients reporting continued hypothyroidism symptoms with T4 only treatment. On more than one occasion, he condescendingly laughed at myself and patients that are online seeking answers, our lives back, and proper health care. He said, “people online are not typically unhappy people looking for anyone to validate their experience as thyroid related...when in fact it’s all coincidental, hormones, and natural aging.” I was in the best health of my life before my thyroidectomy. Almost immediately after my surgery, I was dealing with a laundry list of symptoms of I had never dealt with before. Despite adverse reactions from levothyroxine and a significant decrease in the quality of my life, he refused to consider other treatment options for me. He also referred me to Psych, neuro, etc. In order for me to try a combination of T4 and T3 prescriptions and or NDT (natural desiccated thyroid) treatments, which are FDA approved without constant recalls, I had find treatment else where. I continue to see Dr Morris for cancer care. He also permits me to stay on NDT, but disagrees with my choice of treatment. If and when I’m symptomatic, thus far, I still have to seek dosage support from another doctor.

He is willing to do his work for us patients and my family...

Dr. Morris listened intently to my story and took the time to explain anything and everything I put before him. His follow up once I returned to NJ was impeccable. Quite frankly, they don't make doctors like him anymore. He needs to be teaching other doctors that it is about the care, concern, TIME and expertise you give your patient. May God bless Dr. Morris.

Dr. Morris facilitated same day studies and generously offered me to follow up with him at the end of his clinic day to review these results! Did not feel rushed at all during the appointment.

I'm an Addisons patient, it took some time to get everything under control but it's been smooth sailing for 20 years now.

I have been seeing Dr Morris for treatment and follow up for papillary thyroid cancer and he has been so professional and caring. He is truly an expert and I know I can trust his judgement regarding treatment and medication options. He has also been very responsive with returning messages and phone calls, so the fact that I am not in Rochester has not mattered much. I would definitely recommend Dr. Morris and the endo team at Mayo. They are the best of the best.

As a full professor in Mayo's medical school, Dr. Morris is obviously an expert in his endocrinology field, which is the most complex in medicine . He is good at explaining endocrine concepts . Although slightly condescending towards veterinary medicine because he does not know much about our expertise with multiple species, he is respectful of his patient's opinions . Dr. Morris is gracious, articulate ,and very good about communicating information in a timely manner. I will refer a friend .
