Outstanding doctor helped with the removal of a tumor and did a great job explaining the process and conducting the surgery. His team was very helpful and actually cared about my health and recovery. If I need another simular surgery in the future I will definitely be coming back to him.

Dr. Shen and his understudy (student/fellow Nicholas Contreras-Peraza MD) did a great job removing the lower lobe of my husband's lung. We saw Dr. Shen for second opinion. We consulted another thoracic surgeon in Edina, MN prior to but were disappointed with his lack of attentiveness to us. Dr. Shen's bedside manners were SUPERB. He is gentle, and extremely knowledgeable. Surgery was uneventful, patient (my spouse) was followed for 5 days in-patient by the surgical team (in addition to the movement/breathing team, nursing team, pain team, etc). We are VERY happy we went with Dr. Shen for husband's surgery.
