This doctor told me eating dog food was safer than regulated cannabis products by the state of MN. Im not even sure what that is supposed to mean coming from a medical proffessional but i defs didnt walk away feeling any smarter.
I read her testimony urging against the mn cannabis bill. I found her information to be poorly researched and her conclusions closed minded. She wrote "chemicals used to extract thc from cannabis may create by products that are potentially toxic and unknown to the consumer." This could be viewed as un necessary due to the fact that any chemical extraction of thc is banned in the bill. This made me wonder if Dr. Porier even read the bill she was so passionately opposed to that she wrote out a letter. I would seriously question her thought process on her patients well being, and her ability to look at facts objectively. What else is she getting wrong?
She ignored every question i had, and would not make any eye contact with me. She would only look at her computer and stare at the wall! unprofessional!
She is the worst doctor I’ve ever encountered. She ignored my complaint and focused on a completely unrelated health problem that occurred over 16 years ago. My report contained so many mistakes. Probably because she was too interested in scrolling through my reports as I was telling her my history instead of listening to me, so she filled in the gaps with whatever she thought happened. A little eye contact would have been nice. She made assumptions that were untrue. In the end, I left with NOTHING other than a ridiculous recommendation to watch YouTube.... nothing else! If you are scheduled to see her, I recommend you run the other direction. Unless you want to waste your time being referred to other specialist for things unrelated to your condition.
I had an awful experience with her. She did not listen to me as I was telling her about my condition. Instead she was too busy reading my reports which should have been done beforehand. Her account of my complaint and history was terribly wrong... which makes no sense considering every doctor seen prior to her had a consistent history of my symptoms. She never looked at me but kept eyes on her computer the entire time. She focused on an unrelated health condition that happened over 16 years ago.
The most bigoted and biased doctor I have ever encountered. Made incorrect assumptions about me & my health without asking further questions or probing deeper. She’s definitely not up to Mayo Clinic standards. Her twitter posts show she is very opinionated, ultra-conservative, heavily involved with supporting Republican Party candidates, anti-gay marriage, anti-legalized medical marijuana, etc. If you want a doctor who is non-judgmental, find someone else.
It was my first time and Mayo Clinic and she was very concentrate and my health was very great experience because she trying to make me feel better and look solutions for my health she referring to other doctors to great best results you are the greatest doctor I see Maria poirier God bless you
I'm actually pretty confused by the bad reviews she received. I thought she was great. She spent more than an hour with me the first time I saw her, and while she did not diagnose my medical conditions, she sent me to very knowledgeable doctors in their respected fields who were able to both diagnose and treat it. Before I saw her 2 years ago, I thought I would be dead or on disability within 5 years. Now I'm recovering. Just being listened to instead of blown off repeatedly was amazing.
Like to see doctor again I would see again!
She is rude...

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
