I had a massive rotator cuff tear, labrum tear, bicep tendon damage, from a waterski accident. I am 57 years old and after seeing my local orthopedic surgeon I knew I needed to go to Mayo. Dr. Hevesi examined me and reviewed my MRI and discussed the repairs required, my surgery was scheduled within 2 weeks. Dr. Hevesi was excellent in explaining the repairs that would be made, and was very personable in answering questions, and addressing my concerns about being able to continue my active lifestyle. The surgery was partial open/orthoscopic. The Mayo team was excellent at every step of the operation. I live 4 hours away and the nerve block which was given prior to the surgery allowed me to ride home following the operation with minimal discomfort. Dr. Hevesi and the physical therapy staff gave exceptional and precise documentation on what to do during recovery. I am 6 months post operation and my shoulder recovery has been exceptional. Best doctor I have ever utilized!

I am very thankful for Dr. Hevesi totally understanding my hip issues I went into the appt thinking he could help me and that he did! I'm 8 weeks postop, am walking without pain! I highly recommend Dr. Hevesi. Very professional, personable and outstanding care!

I was referred to Dr. Hevesi from an orthopedic oncologist who recommended him for the concurrent removal of a non-cancerous tumor and a meniscus trim on my knee. Dr. Hevesi made room in his schedule to consult with me on the same day, as I was already at Mayo. He performed arthroscopic surgery and I have been very pleased with my progress. He was clear in explaining the procedure and recovery, and was patient in answering my questions. My experience was positive and I’d highly recommend his services!

Dr. Hevesi and his world class team at Mayo made total hip replacement so much easier than I had expected. I arrived Mayo at 7:30am on a Wednesday, and was riding home in the car at 6pm the same day. I was able to spend a couple of hours in the office the next day (on Thursday), Took Friday off to rest, and started full time in the office the following Monday. Although I was provided crutches, I never needed them. And my concerns about getting around a 2 story home quickly vanished when I was able to navigate the stairs from day 1. I would highly recommend Dr. Hevesi and his team at Mayo.
