Mayo Clinic seems to have abandoned its motto the needs of the patient come first in favor of cherry picking lucrative cases. They used to coordinate care so it was streamlined but they now have review committees that look at your medical records first but only what they access via EMR to determine IF each dept will see you. Its not clear who exactly decides who gets past the indifferent gatekeepers but my bet is a panel of nurses PAs and other nonphysicians. Its a stain upon Mayos previously stellar reputation and I say that having worked there for a decade.I have never been so disappointed in Mayos practice model. Its the end of an era.

Mark Sawyers a surgeon at Mayo Clinic doesnt believe in the neutral treatment of patients. Hed rather kick them to the streets to die. If you are unvaccinated stay away. You wont get equal care here.

I have lived next to it my whole life and it’s really not that great. It’s a good hospital but it’s built for rich people. If you have government insurance they don’t like you.

I have been sitting in pain and dealing with a medical issue for two years and the doctors still cant figure out whats wrong. Im miserable. Mayo tells me I need a referral and I finally get an referral to mayo clinic and they tell me they wont even see me. Im sitting here crying and hopeless. Somebody please help. Im just being left to hang out and dry. Their suppose to be the best which is why I went seeking help from them. They were my last hope. I never thought I would see the day when doctors just throw you out like yesterdays trash and leave you in extreme pain. HELP ME PLEASE

Some very good doctors but there are also a few quacks among them. Be careful. The latter will throw you under the bus at the first sign of trouble and the Office of Patient Experience is useless when that happens.
