Dr. Shawki performed a colon resection for me in October 2018. He was able to remove the tumor completely, and was able to avoid an ostomy. I recovered very quickly because of his expertise. His P.A., Beth Bandi was also wonderful

He is well-respected by his outstanding team, and further, he interfaces beautifully with the philosophy and expected outcomes of the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, a phenomenal institution. In sum, Dr. Shawki has exceeded my expectations and it is without reservation that I recommend him. His professional acumen speaks for itself.

Amazing surgeon. I cannot say enough about his grace, his bedside manner, the way he treated my daughter, the caliber of his skill. Best of the best. Amazing staff as well. We have had a long road with my daughter's illness and he was her light at the end of a very dark tunnel. Again, AMAZING. He is living his life's purpose.

Excellent Dr who genuinely cares for his patients, he will tell you the truth and appreciates a patient that asks questions and understands the treatment options. If you want a Dr who will truly help you and not put you through unnecessary procedures, this is the Dr! His staff is wonderful too.

Dr. Shawki dod my colo-rectal surgery in 2015. His bedside manner, thoroughness of explanation, communicate skills, and surgical result fo me wre exceptional. With him digging around in me for five and a half hours (surgery time), I am well qualified to offer this opinion! You can not get a more compassionate, skilled, and understanding doctor.

Dr. Shawki is not only competent/skilled physician but also has a tremendous bedside manner; he is the whole package when it comes to wanting a doctor who is excellent at what they do but also understands and appreciates his patients and their needs. As a nurse myself working in acute care I highly recommend Dr. Shawki!
