Dr. Burns was a God sent to me during the most difficult time of my life. I found out I had a brain mass out of nowhere and decided to go to Mayo Clinic for second opinion. During the first office visit with Dr. Burns, he made everything simple and easy going. He explained in a very detailed way. He gave me options and made sure I was aware of the outcome. Him and his team performed an awake brain surgery on me just two days later and did a magnificent job! I had support the entire time and especially during the awake part of the surgery! I truly believe I could not have done this procedure without Dr. Burns and his team!!

Dr Burns is one of the most kind & caring Doctors we have ever met! He performed 4 brain surgeries on my husband with the utmost care & concern. We will never forget his compassion.

Dr. Burns is amazing. My wife had a surgery with him in short notice and we went to several oncology specialists later for second opinions on treatment. They all commented on the phenomenal success of the surgery. Not only was it in a sensitive area shifting the midline but iwhe. Finished my wife recovered fast and had no noticeable deficits. She’s doing amazing one year later. We kept the oncology treatment at the Mayo also. Dr Burns is a wildly talented surgeon.

Excellent Doctor and Neurosurgeon, he performed my surgery almost a year ago and all things considered it was a great experience and I felt like I was in great hands with him leading. He also did a great job communicating and answering questions. For such a tough moment in my life, Dr. Burns made the best of it.

This doctor is VERY smart but also very compassionate, personable & approachable. Easy to ask questions of. Performed a craniotomy on me to remove a 3cm benign tumor. I have NO residual symptoms. Couldn't have asked for a better doctor to do the job.

Really nice and highly intelligent doctor! You can really tell Dr. Burbs us passionate about what he knows! Smart guy! I’m so thankful I got to meet with him Bd have him as my neurosurgeon! Professional in so many ways and so kind! Couldn’t recommend him more!

Dr. burns is a SUOER SURGEON! Very nice gentlemen an very knowledgeable on brain tumors. I am so the thankful for him resecting as much tumor as possible. I have a grade 3 Oligodendroglioma. Mayo is the best by far and so is Dr. Burns!! Can’t say enough good about him and his talent!! He deserves 10 stars!! Plus he has an Australian accent. You could listen to him talk for hours! Great guy with a passion for whet he does and patient care can’t be beat! So thankful for him! Highly recommend him!!
