Dr. Shaughnessy successfully repaired my spine, when I was 14 years old, due to a 70 percent curvature. I will always be thankful for him!
Changed my life and his surgical skill are the reason I can walk today. If you have have an appointment with this doctor. Know you're in life changing hands.
Awsome Dr!! Takes the time to answer questions from worried parents of his patients, and talks in terms his young patients can understand. Has been my son's surgeon since 2016, and I wouldn't choose anyone else!
I have been kept in a secure environment. My mom received some bullsh it paperwork regarding"Dicks" and I was called in by my AA homegroup. I am relying on this reference. Jennifer Larson to his office.
I saw him many years ago,, I was 13 and had a very strange case with abnormal knee caps and interesting muscle movement.. I wouldn’t have been able to walk by a certain age unless I had the operations by this wonderful doctor.. I’m now a chef and on my feet as much as I can be.. this doctor is amazing.. If you see this Dr, my last name is bell I hope you remember me, because I’ll never forget you and the gift you have given me.. Thank you ??
Dr. Shaughnessy saw our son for a limp he had in his gate. Turns out, our son has a malformed hip socket. Dr. Shaughnessy eased our minds and was very thorough. We also hot a quick call as soon as the results were in from him explaining everything!! He was very prompt and thoughtful. We feel blessed to have been seen by him. We would highly recommend him.
Wouldn't put additional time into reviewing horrible post surgical pain and deterioration. "Nothing is wrong"
Dr. shaughnessy operated on my 6 year old son who had broke his leg in a fall the, he also found some bone problems that other doctors had missed. when we went to a different hospital. we are so greatfull that Dr. shaughnessy came into our lives.
Dr. Shaughnessy operated on our son for scoliosis when he was 15. Five years later the rods broke and the inflammation from the broken rods around the spinal area caused further damage. A second surgery was done, but was not successful. A third spinal fusion with more rods was done 1½ years later, and at that time it was discovered that a bone infection most likely introduced during the second surgery was probably the reason it had not healed. We wish Dr. Shaughnessy might have considered that and possibly saved him from the third surgery, which was very traumatic. He has been left with a lot of pain, possibly because of so much surgery and injury to the nerves.
I was treated by Dr. Shaughnessy for scoliosis beginning about 15 years ago, and I still think of him as the best, most knowledgeable and caring physician I've ever had. It was initially thought I'd have to have surgery, but after five years in a brace (not fantastic, but still better than surgery) under Dr. Shaughnessy's care my spinal curves were corrected to an almost normal degree, and have remained that way. He was wonderful when I was a scared kid; later on, when I was in high school, he became a meticulous and encouraging mentor to me. He arranged to let me observe a spinal surgery (so I could see how non-threatening it actually was), and then we worked together on a study of scoliosis treatments. He also wrote me a letter for college (like the previous commenter). As a doctor and as a human being he is the best. If your child has an orthopedic condition you could not possibly do better than to be treated by Dr. Shaughnessy.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
