I had both of my hips replaced over a two year span, Dr. Holien was my surgeon for both total hip replacements, outstanding experience, from start to finish. Would highly recommend Dr Holien, if you are in need of hip or knee replacement.

Clearly if you know or met Dr. Holien, you'd already know what the reviews say. But I'll put in my review. His surgery skills are above what you'd expect. I expected a lot more issues, but they just neve came as I thought they would have. He takes the time to listen, even with my repeated millions of questions and my moms questions. He respects your wishes and is attentive to your needs and wants but also keeps reality in check. No promises that he can't keep, but also gives you options and details that most miss. His bedside manner is awesome. It's not just "another patient". How he remembers everything, I don't know, but he does! I can be a frustrating patient, and not easy to always work with and Dr. Holien had zero issues dealing with me. I enjoyed the office visits actually....oddly. But the quality of work is impeccable. For my kind of injury, I had zero infections and a "normal" recovery and actually much better than I expected. It's still ongoing, but for the last 10 weeks, he's been a doctor you can trust and have confidence in! This is very rare, but he does it so well and very thank full for that, his skills, and his knowledge. If you have to have a surgeon to repair broken bones, this is the doctor you hope you get!
