This doctor seems nice but he is a terrible doctor. All he knows is to prescribe more pills. He tries to suppress the side effects of his pills by prescribing more pills. I have no idea how he got his medical degree with such a terrible mentality. Dr. Young and other doctors like him are those who contribute significantly to the prescription medication crisis in the US.

My daughter has significant OCD and other challenges with her mental health. She has seen a psychologist and psychiatrist from a very young age to address these issues. Trust me when I say I take an active interest in her care. We have worked with Mayo and others in an effort to help her. Dr. Young is the best we have found, by a substantial margin. Not a typical psychiatrist at all, he integrates actual therapy as well as medication into his practice. Not once have we felt rushed or unheard. He takes the time to actually listen to her, and connects with her at an impressive level. Which is no small feat for a now 20 year old! If you can get in to see him, you can end your search right there. I could not recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Young is not a good doctor. He prescribes too many pills to his patients.

Dr. Young is an excellent child psychiatrist! He really cares about my son and our family and is extremely dedicated to finding a solution to his ADHD and symptoms of depression and anxiety. He spends a lot of time talking with me and my nine year old son and explaining his treatment options. Dr. Young carefully explains the possible side effects of medications and carefully monitors their costs and benefits to make sure they are providing a net benefit. I highly recommend Dr. Young!
