I was trying to get help for my mental health, which as anyone with a mental illness knows can be a frustrating system to navigate. I finally found a program that seemed like a good fit and they had the simple request of a letter from a doctor recommending me to the program. I had an appointment with Dr. Ramchandani and made this simple request. She completely ignored what I said. As a mentally ill folk, feeling like I had to beg my doctor for something as simple as a letter to get help, destroyed me. These people are supposed to be the front line when it comes to getting people the mental health help they need. Instead this persons pathetic actions led me straight to the suicide hotline to simply make it through the night. I firmly believe she should be banned from seeing patients until she receives adequate mental health training or she will continue destroying other's mental health. No one should have to experience this awful provider, especially the mentally ill.
