I had shin and foot pain for awhile and thought it was time to get new orthotics. My appt was in August. Dr. Patenaude wiggled my toes and said we would do x-rays and then come back and talk about options (seeming to know already the issue by wiggling my toes and NOT see me walk or anything else). After x-rays, he mentioned surgery right off the bat, went in to detail about how he is an expert in this type of surgery, done more than anyone else, etc. I asked if there were any exercises I could do first to see if that would help, and he said not really. I was fitted for orthotics (paste and wrap) and was told that I would be called when they are ready and then would set up an appt to make sure they fit, etc. I had called 6 weeks after the appointment and the orthotics were not ready. I called towards the end of Oct and was told they arrived back in Sept (never notified). Set up an appt for 10/31 and then that day was called to say he did not bring them with. Completely disappointing.
