I would not recommend Azar. For two months I was being treated for a hiatal hernia, never any improvement, never listening to the fact that I was having unexplained chest, neck, back and radiating arm pain. I told him more than once and it was documented on the patient portal. I finally could not take the episodes any longer and drove myself to the emergency room at Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury MN. I underwent an EKG (novel idea considering the symptoms.....) And transferred to Saint Josephs Hospital in the TC's where I underwent a triple bypass. Not once while in this man's office was the heart possibility ever mentioned. Please, please don't ever make the same mistake I did in trusting this person. Sad that we, women in particular as it relates to the heart, have to be our own advocate and refuse to be brushed off.....Don't. Allow. This. To Happen. To. You.

Dismissive, rushed & unprofessional. Heard him talk about me to a nurse outside my door after he left the room I was in. Will never see him again if I have the choice.

I found Dr. Azar to be cold, disinterested, and abrupt. I went to see him after suffering injuries in a car accident. My regular physician was on vacation. If he is offered as a choice again I will decline.

Dr. Azar was fantastic when I saw him. His communication was direct without being harsh, and his explanations were concise while offering room for opinions and questions to make sure I was comfortable and understood short and long term goals. I can't speak for the other reviews, but with my own experiences my guess is problems were largely the result of the horrible bureaucracy of Allina Health.

He took 5 min for both my kids on a televisit. After the strep results were negative I got no communication from him or his office on where to go next. My daughter had a severely sore throat and couldn't swallow without feeling immense pain. He rushed us through the appointments and nothing to add besides ordering a strep test. Avoid this guy if possible. Very unprofessional!

He was my primary care physician for years and I respected him. Professional, responsive, trustworthy.

He turned a 20 min appointment forb2 kids into a 5 min appointment and didn't follow up when strep results were negative. He seemed very annoyed, like we were wasting his time. Very unprofessional and uncomfortable to talk to.
