David Chang's Online Review Report Card

If you or anybody you know have been told there's nothing wrong but you know that there is I highly recommend coming to Dr Chang. He listens, he cares and is very knowledgeable and detailed it's what he does.

Our first appt with Dr Chang was cancelled by his office (after waiting 2 weeks for appt), made 2nd appt, waited 2 1/2 weeks. After travelling over 2 hours Dr Chang walked into exam room, flipped thru medical records and stated he couldn't do anything without an MRI. Something we addressed with his staff beforehand as my husband has a pain implant making an MRI impossible. No direction was given, no concern. On his own my husband lined up surgery with another clinic and had the implant switched out, got an MRI and made another appt. Again, waiting over 2 weeks for appt. Diagnosis was made, surgery recommended. For the first time ever we had a 2nd opinion. Found a remarkable Dr who scheduled surgery right away, whereas Dr Chang thought he might be able to fit us in by September. Our encounter with this Dr and his clinic was callous and disrespectful, a huge amount of time was wasted due to his office issues. And Dr Chang was very insensitive.

My surgery went well but everything leading up to that point was extremely difficult. Everyone I encountered in Dr. Chang’s office made errors in the process of getting my surgery authorized and scheduled causing a long delay. I almost did not get an ordered medical device for post surgery because no one submitted the orders to the device representative even after I asked them more than once if the device was ready. Dr. Chang is a great surgeon but be prepared to micromanage every step of the process to get to point of having surgery and receiving post op devices.

I would never recommend this doctor!! He performed surgery on my neck. While in recovery, I woke up in more pain than before. He tried to blame me by saying I moved too much. He performed an MRI the day after the surgery, and on the third day he cut me open again, this time in the back of my neck. He couldn’t reach my disks, so he just closed me up. I was still in a huge amount of pain and he proposed scheduling a third surgery. I said no. I waited 2 weeks for another doctor to undo, clean up inside my neck and replace everything this doctor did and more.

God used Dr. Chang to heal me; that's the easiest way to say it. Two years of extreme back pain, treated by every means possible, was instantly diagnosed by Dr. Chang. He explained what he was going to do in an easy-to-understand way that removed any fear, and he replaced my fear and pain with hope and healing. After the surgery, he encouraged me to be diligent in following his directions. I'm now looking forward to a future of growing old without back pain. I'm so thankful, and I'll never forget Dr. David Chang.

Dr Chang evaluated my wife for sudden severe leg and back pain. He was thoughtful and took time to explain to her what was happening and alternative approaches. She had surgery and the follow up too. He was kind and spent time making sure she had all of her questions answered and understood as well

This doctor almost killed me. Do not recommend. MY spinal fusion started coming out of my body and he took no responsibility and only requested to see me one time after surgery and told me to get a pain pump

I made an appointment with Dr. Chang because I wanted a second opinion for a surgery I was recommended to have. After reviewing the records I brought him, Dr. Chang explained the whole problem I had, why and his recommended solution, which was the same as my first doctor. He took his time to carefully explain everything to me. Since I had already made arrangements with another doctor, I did not use Dr. Chang. But I would certainly consider him if I have other problems and would recommend consulting him if you are looking for a good surgeon.
